 Unbelievable Design, Unsurpassed Performance:   Brace yourself because the future has just arrived. In another industry first, Scubapro has broken through long-standing barriers in BC design and manufacturing with the introduction of the Fluid-Form 3D Gel System, featured on the brand-new Hydros Pro back-flotation BC. Traditional BC harnesses are manufactured using a CMT (Cut, Make, Trim) process, in which multiple layers of fabric, foam and backing are cut to shape, stitched together and then finished with edging tape and detailing. Scubapro's exclusive new Fluid-Form 3D Gel System replaces the CMT process by injection-molding harness components in soft, highly resilient thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and then assembling them in a modular, mechanical process. This patented injection molded Monprene Gel Harness is the heart of the Hydros Pro design. It provides the BC with loads of features that improve comfort, stability, maneuverability and buoyancy control to enrich the overall diving experience.  To begin with because the gel conforms to the body, you end up with an extremely ergonomic fit and very efficient load distribution free of pressure points, particularly over the shoulders. Secondly, the Monprene harness retains virtually no water so it weighs less post-dive and dries quickly. This allows the Hydros Pro to be packed away hours earlier than what's usually possible. Finally, the fabric-free construction provides excellent resistance to UV and chemicals, and because it is modular it offers divers a "BC-4- Life" that's customizable and easy to repair. Virtually every component, including buckles, can be replaced without stitching. The Hydros Pro packs easily and includes a backpack that provides room for your entire dive kit. The Hydro Pro, a premium back-inflation, weight-integrated BC, is unlike any BC currently on the dive market. Built to last, it is the ultimate BC for all divers, from the warm waters of the tropics to temperate and cold waters the world over.  Near-zero inherent buoyancy means less ballast lead is needed, resulting in better buoyancy control and much more enjoyable diving. Over-molded back plate features soft TPE gel on a rigid techno-polymer plate, so the single super cinch tank strap can lock the tank in solid. Torso Flex Zone follows the curvature of your upper back and auto-adjusts for different torso lengths. Soft, comfortable TPE Straps cushion a webbing back-up system featuring swivel buckles that allow straps to assume the most natural angle for your body shape. Sternum Strap rides on a rail system and can be adjusted to suit your torso length. Crotch strap mount accepts either single 2" (50mm) webbing or dual 1" (25mm) webbing for divers who prefer an extra bit of security. Tri-Bungee System keeps iQ air cell streamlined and allows for better air distribution. Bungee is easily replaceable with no stitching required. X-Grip System provides five grip pads to ensure tank security and stability.  BC has a Cross-Flow Channel Design that lets air flow across the backpack, reducing air trapping. Accessory eyelets on the lumbar and dorsal plates, as well as multi-mount points on the harness, provide lots of attachment points for clipping on extra gear. Shoulder swivel buckles have built-in D-rings to attach octopus and gauge consoles. BC packs easily and includes travel straps and a backpack that provides room for your entire dive kit, making traveling that much easier. The Hydros Pro provides from 36 lbs. to 40.5 lbs. (16.3 kg to 18.3kg) of buoyancy depending on size and is weight integrated with a releasable weight capacity of 24 lbs. (11kg) and 9 lbs. (4kg) non-releasable capacity. If you are looking for color coordination with your Seawing full foot or open heel fins (see SKU's: SCPFFSN, SCPFSN or SCPFSG) the Scubapro Hydros Pro Color Kit (see SKU: SCPFFSN) can have you styling in the water.  Buoyancy control is facilitated with the Scubapro AIR2 Breathable Inflator mechanism, right shoulder and left bottom overpressure relief/dump valves with pull cords. The Hydros Pro comes equipped with Scubapro's AIR2 Breathable Inflator. When you took dive lessons you learned to perform specific skills to make you safe and comfortable underwater and at the surface. One of those skills was buoyancy control. Once you start diving for fun you use your buoyancy control device constantly throughout the dive. Your octopus or alternate air source device on the other hand is never used unless there is an emergency out-of-air situation. Reacting properly in an out of air situation can make the difference between an eventful dive and a tragedy. If your alternate air source and your BCD inflator device are one and the same, you will always know where to find it in an emergency. AIR2 is more than a simple inflator. Its components design takes advantage from the best regulator technology to guarantee maximum efficiency and reliability. As an inflator AIR2 provides perfect pressure control for a great buoyancy management. Ergonomic shape makes it easy-to-handle in any circumstances and it can be emptied by simply pressing the exhaust button.  AIR2's air balanced power inflator provides smooth and reliable inflation at all tank pressures. Single hose configuration eliminates the need for a separate alternate air source. Fixed VIVA flow vane for safe and uncomplicated use one-hand operation for instinctive and simple operation the self-flushing mechanism requires just one push on the purge to clear away all dirt. The AIR2 uses a classic downstream valve for less maintenance and reliability. The housing is a precision molded carbon fiber and techno-polymer impact resistant design that weighs 6.7 oz. (190g). Included with the BCD and AIR2 is a 3/8" threaded low-pressure hose for attachment to the first stage regulator and owner manuals.

By Far the Best BCD I've Used

The Hydros Pro BCD is an outstanding choice-easy to use and offering excellent buoyancy in the water. A local dive shop even mentioned that they use the Hydros Pro because it helps students develop great buoyancy control right from the start. After 60 dives in tropical waters, I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

One of its best features is the separate tech belt, which requires adding weight pockets. This significantly reduces the overall weight-the included weight pockets add about six pounds, but with the tech belt, the total weight drops to just over five pounds. The result? A lightweight, travel-friendly setup that's not only comfortable to wear but also looks great.
The only negative is that the Hydrospro is lacking D-rings to clip gear to the BCD. However, you can add additional D-rings to the tech belt like any other backwing set up. With the included Tech belt, you can customize the BCD to your liking but mostly on the belt not on the chest harness part of the HP.

Moreover, my experience with Scubapro's customer service has been excellent. Their U.S.-based support team is responsive, helpful, and easy to work with, making any assistance smooth and hassle-free.

Very Happy

Finally the BCD I have been waiting for!! With more than 20 years as a professional underwater cinematographer I have gone through loads of BCDs and I always had issues with them - until this one. The Hydros Pro BCD's harness holds my tank securely against my back so it moves with me, the front is uncluttered, the wings give me plenty of lift, but tuck away so I have a noticeable drag reduction, and the AIR 2 is small enough that I don't even notice it. And the unique rubberized material is super tough and easy to rinse. When this BCD was designed they thought of everything.

I have had mine for over 10 years
 It is the best all-around B C I have ever owned. This is number four. I dive California often, but am in the Caribbean several times a year. It is very comfortable and with a few add ons from Scuba Pro, it works in all diving that I do year around.

Great all around B C

This is hands down one of the most comfortable and practical BCDs I've ever owned. What really stands out is how travel-friendly it is - lightweight, quick-drying, and it doesn't soak up water. The D-rings and attachment points are great for securing gear like my camera, and it's built to handle any dive you throw at it. I also love this BC because it's modular, so if something needs to be repaired, it's just a matter of changing that part, which is easy. This BCD in awesome! 
If you're after a BCD that's tough, customizable, and easy to travel with, then this is it!

Super comfortable BCD!

I've used this bcd now for 9 years and it's hands down the best bcd i've used, especially for travel. It folds up compact into your Hydros Backpack, making room for your Reg, computer, Mask, even a 3mm shorty and then strap your fins on the outside and you can carry your entire dive kit onto the plane. It drys within minutes, its conforms to you back, absolutely comfortable.

BEST BCD EVER!!!

I have been using this BCD for over year now and am loving the system! It's comfortable/foldable for travel/and professional looking. You can also personalize this BCD by adding different color weight pockets & clips!

Practical and stylish BCD!

Got mine this week. So far loving it. I would give it 5 stars but the Air2 mouthpiece which apparently is proprietary and way too small for my bite profile with seemingly no other options is not what I would want to see. Make an option for this. I want a bigger mouthpiece.

Quality and function expectations exceeded!

Awesome BCD! Just got done diving with the HYDROs out in the Philippines. The Large size was perfect for a 5' 5" 185 lbs person. I carried it on with me with just the BCD, Wetsuit, Dive Comp and the mask as it is light weight. This is awesome for divers with a bit of tummy because the lower locking mechanism can sit below the tummy :-).  Very comfortable on my back coming up the outrigger boat. A must buy for SCUBAPRO lovers.

Buy this!

Excellent BC both in comfort and durability. It's very fast to dry and it's excellent for travel due to how small it packs. I would highly recommend this BC to others.

Great BC and very comfortable

Bought two of these for two divers (male), Medium and Large per Scubapro size guide. Shoulder straps are too long and tank rolls around. Waist strap and weight pockets are too small and out of position with smaller size for both of us. 6', 195lb's large BC size needs medium straps. 5' 10", 150lb's med BC needs small straps. Have asked Scubapro for appropriate size straps but they want us to purchase. I was hoping Scubapro would stand behind thier product better.

Improper Size

The materials are the best in the business. What is best about the BCD is that it fits so close to the body and is very light weight. I found the weight sockets to be easy to use and very functional. The idea of adding the small D-ring accessories is good however the D-rings and bungee add-on are not very useful. A few more large stainless steel D-Rings would be better. The bottom dump valve is perfect for forward descents. So far I am very happy with it.  Yes you will have to pay the Scubapro price but that name does mean something other than prestige.

If you don't want a breathable inflator, then go for it!  The BCD is great

Best BCD ever

This is an absolute nightmare of a BCD. After only 70 dives, it started falling apart. The final straw was a trip to NC this past weekend and BOTH rubber shoulder straps broke at the seams. Their warranty is only for 2 years while most others offer a lifetime warranty. Their customer service is very nasty also.

Horrible BCD

Great BC that's versatile, durable, compact and comfortable. I initially thought the backplate and shoulder straps might be uncomfortable but I've not found that to be the case. I love how fast this dries and how little space it takes when packed. I'm confident that the materials will hold up and prove to be very durable over time.

This BCD has blown my mind and changed my diving game for good.
It's light, is dries fast, it packs easy, and it has lots of D-rings to clip all sorts of things I need when diving.
I love that there are a couple of pockets that I can not only add but customize the place where they could be according to the tools I'll need.
For example, when I'm teaching I can move the ninja pocket up closer to my right hand and put my reels and DSMB, I can even fit a small backup light !!!
Then when I'm diving for fun I can move that pocket a little lower and use it to carry my macro lens, globes, and even an extra hood.
This pocket could be added to the left or right as you prefer (no other bcd has this feature)
I also really like that I have the option of removing the weight pockets and making it just a harness style BCD, it makes it easier to travel with it, 
If you are traveling to a tropical destination where you maybe not even need a wetsuit or weights this is the one to take.
The last feature I love might sound lavish but definitely one of my favorites, 
I could make this BCD any color I want, colorful side pockets are available, for any of you who like to match your fins or mask or just be visible to the students or dive buddies this is definitely a fun/safety feature.

Customizable And Confortable

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and am thrilled with the ease of use. I wanted something that I could travel with and this is compact. My first dive with it I had great control of my buoyancy and was complimented on my trim. It is limited as to storage and I still have figure out how I want to attach accessories but I couldn't be happier with my purchase!!

Good control & travel friendly

The buckle across the chest is too small to allow fast removal of BCD during an emergency.

Please note I have not used this latest BCD. However it appears to have the same chest buckle size as my 2010 Scubapro Knighthawk BCD.

When one removes a BCD the natural first reach is towards the waist level attachments. During my Rescue Diver certification, it became apparent that if one removes the BCD waist attachments first the chest strap can rise up towards the neck and become very difficult to undo especially with gloves on. Thus, much valuable time is lost removing one's own or another person's BCD even at the surface. This was pointed out to Scubapro. After communications back and forth with the German design team reason given October 2011 for not making the chest buckle as large as the other buckles: "It doesn't look good".

Love this bcd

I bought this BCD between my pool dives and open water dives for my OW course and wow what a difference it makes!! I'm not a small person so rental gear is always hard to fit so I decided to go with the HYDROS Pro that fit me and learn on my own equipment which was the right decision. This unit, in my opinion, is easy to use and set up. It is also very comfortable for a round person like me. I also enjoy that it isn't a huge vest that makes me feel claustrophobic.

BCD review

You need to have extra care when dawning this bcd to ensure the Empty  air cell doesn’t shift To one side on you.  If it is not evenly distributed  It will inflate uneven and you will end up with More air on one side of the air cell and you will be swimming in your side!  I called Scubapro on this issue and after they asked me many questions about how I dive they could not figure out what is wrong.  I have been diving for 30 years and I have never had any problems with jacket or wing bcd, not until I used this one!  I think it’s not designed well for such expensive.

Bad design....Not worth the money !

My wife and I find the Hydro Pro BCD very comfortable. We both agree the Air 2 V hose should be longer and more flexible.

Comfortable BCD

Replaced an old favorite with the Hydros Pro. Tremendous in water performance no matter what body position. Super comfortable in and out of the water. Dries quickly and packs well. Customizable and has plenty of D-rings.

Comfortable and streamlined

Love everything about the Hydros except for the fact the wing slides from side-to-side and the price. Supposedly, this is being sorted in on newer models. However, this does not help me who now owns one. Apart from that its a very comfortable BCD and very easy to adjust.

Bought this BC in medium for 5’10” 190 lb athletic frame and it fits great. Very responsive to boyancy control and trims well. All quality and functional fittings. Weighs as advertise.
