All the main characteristics of the Dragon have been developed for even greater comfort and stability combined with excellent fit and performance. Mares' new Jacket Style Dragon Bladder design is tightly tailored to reduce drag, placing much of the air cell around the tank. The air cell is contoured to greatly minimize the feeling of the bladder underneath your arms and gives comfortable surface flotation. Air cell slides on shoulders for increased comfort when inflated. All that ergonomics and still has a lift of 42.5 lbs. (19.3 kg) size large.  Superbly comfortable and stable yet tough and durable. The air cell is made of durable 420 Cordura denier. The Mares Dragon BCD with SLS has Mares Slide & Lock System (SLS) for weight release. This unique weight integrated BCD provides a visual confirmation of proper weight pouch insertion, so there is no guessing when you do your pre-dive check before entering the water. In addition, the BCD is equipped with smart trim weight positioning for a balanced feel when diving.  The Slide & Lock System (SLS) weight pockets have sturdy zipper closures and are easy to slide into the BCD even when wearing thick gloves. The SLS is the safest system available and come in weight capacities of 9 lbs. and 13 lbs. (4 kg and 6 kg) weight capacities. SLS weight pockets will work with block or soft pouch weights. Smart D-ring position with large AISI 304 stainless steel rings, 2 bent: 1 upper and 2 lower that are positioned intelligently within your downward vision also functioning as leverage while inserting the weight pockets. Comfort is paramount with the Dragon elastic cummerbund secures the BCD in place and adjusts for wetsuit compression at depth. BCD comes standard with 3 Pull-Dump/Overpressure Relief Valves, one incorporated into the top of the Ergo Inflator; one located on the right shoulder and a third is located on the rear lower right. Activation of the valves are made easy with both the upper and lower right valves coming with pull cords and the valve incorporated into the Ergo Inflator is activated by an internal cable attached to the inflator mechanism. Inflator includes a 3/8" threaded low pressure quick disconnect hose. With torso adjustable 2" (50 mm) swivel shoulder straps, adjustable chest and waist straps, all equipped with  squeeze-style" side release buckles for easy donning and doffing. Two angled high capacity cargo zippered pockets with stretch panels, position of the corrugated hose retaining epaulette can be adjusted, shaped shoulder straps adapt better to alleviate pressure on the shoulders, safety whistle and personalize label on weight pockets all makes this one great BCD.

Weight system is awefull

Very comfortable. I had my first two dives and I enjoy it so
Much. I dived with 6kg in each lateral pocket and 2kg en each pocket in the back, I don’t have complain about it. The valve system is very useful and the lumbar confort system is very good, I never felt the tank in the back. On the boat I really felt the weigh because I dive with 10kg but, underwater is very cool.

the dragon!

Use of this BC as my cold and warm water BCD for many dives.  Holds up in durability.  Purchased new model to find surprise nice upgrades.  Trim pockets, different size quick eject wt pockets, and slightly bendable or stretchable harness.   It is heavy by about two pounds.  Got used to it quickly.  Size could be tricky.   You maybe need a slightly smaller size, and expand up.  Larger size impossible to contract smaller.

Fan of prior version Dragon, too.

It fits great and looking forward to using it soon.

The BCD was great.  The weight system seems cheap and unreliable.
