This is my everyday choice for teaching in the pool, or the occasional shore diving. Really light weighted, yet very reliable, makes this reg very desirable by many.

Above entry level. Buy it

By Walter J.

Bought this Regulator and First stage back on June 22 (this year) on my local Shop, we have 24 dives on it, clean it every time, and disinfect it every time. I never used the original mouthpiece, I bought one that I can form to my teeth and jaw. I'm sorry but if you got one and came in pieces you may think you don't bite.... but you do.... The regulator has makes no difference in breathing at 20 feet or 80 feet. Really smooth and quiet. Might not be top of the expensive line, but it works g...

Discover the ultimate travel regulator, offering top-notch performance in a compact, lightweight design. The XS Compact Pro second stage, crafted from non-corrosive, lightweight techno-polymers, ensures comfort and eliminates jaw fatigue. Its compact form minimizes drag and weight underwater. The reliable downstream demand valve mechanism channels air to the mouthpiece, enhancing performance through the venturi effect. A flow deviator offers dive/pre-dive adjustment, while the large soft purge cover makes clearing easy. Enjoy a clear field of view and a comfortable silicone mouthpiece for long dives.

The patented cam tilt significantly reduces initial inspiratory effort by minimizing friction between the cam and diaphragm. The polished Teflon disc and pivot system eliminate cam-disc friction, boosting performance. With metal particles embedded in the second stage's body, thermal conductivity is improved, preventing freezing in cold environments. The oversized purge button and air anti-expansion elements increase functionality and durability.

The balanced MC9 SC first stage boasts a protective techno-polymer elastomer shell and an anti-friction, anti-corrosion internal coating. Its environmentally sealed design keeps delicate internal parts safe from contaminants. The special seal chamber (SC) isolates the diaphragm and spring from water, making it perfect for diving in waters rich in minerals or cold temperatures.

The innovative internal air passages and assist chamber minimize pressure drop while maximizing performance at all depths. The hyper-balanced design increases intermediate pressure during low tank pressure and deep dives. Weighing 33.26 oz (943g) with the hose, this Italian-made regulator comes with an owner's manual and meets EN250/2014 standards. Dive with confidence using this exceptional, travel-friendly regulator system.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Can you dive on recreational EAN (Mx 40%O2) with this regulator?
Theo K  Yes you can.
JOHN K  It should state it is in the detailed description. If not, call leisurepro and ask. There should not be an issue. I am nitrox certified and usually dive 30 or 32%. This regulator has been used over 100 times with those fills.
HASSAN P  Is the a balanced regulator? Thanks!
David G  Cressi calls it "Hyper-balanced" and from the company brochure, Cressi states "The mechanism’s hyper-compensation guarantees a light increase in the intermediate pressure as the pressure in the tank decreases." I have enjoyed diving with my Compact Pro MC9 SC and have had consistent breaths throughout from start to finish.
Theo K  The MC9-SC/Compact Pro has a balanced diaphragm 1st stage (MC9) with a Sealed Chamber (SC) cold water system. With it's light and Compact 2nd stage (Compact Pro) This regulator passed all the tests for use in cold water with flying colors. It offers high performance in water with temperatures below 10° C | 50 F. Ps. The 2nd stage is very compact (6 cm | 2.4 in) and very light (153 g | 5.4 oz) that which makes it ideal for traveling.
Shopper  Is there a DIN version for this?
Mario C  We dont carry on this one, just the one on the link below
Carlos G  Yes I believe is an adapter so you can have both systems Regards
Robert D  I bought these regulators for my wife and I, they work great. We have now had then for about a year and a half with 40 dives. Should they now be serviced and approximately how much does that cost. Cressi recommends annual service but we take good care of our stuff?
KEVIN F  Cressi recommends that you have your regulator serviced at least once a year, regardless of how many dives you have taken. Servicing can also be performed more often if you use your regulator intensively. The price of service will depend on several factors. The charge is usually two-fold; one for parts and the other for labor.
Shane G  Is this first stage sealed? And is this for use in cold waters too?
Adam L  Yes and yes
Ed S  Yes, the first stage is sealed. I've used it in cold and warm waters.
GORDON W  I don't believe it would be a good cold water reg. I only use it in temps over 40 degrees.
