Rating: love these things

I bought this for holding my camera. I already have one that I use for my light. The curly part disconnects to really stretch out if you want to extend your reach, but clips it in closer to your body if you so desire. Very handy!!

Rating: Coil Lanyard is exactly what I needed
Reviewer: Kim B., Thursday, July 15, 2010 - View all my reviews
I needed something small and lightweight for my slate. This is exactly what I was looking for. I can easily retrieve and use my slate without unhooking the coil but if my buddy or another diver needs to borrow it, I can unhook it for extra length. Then snap, its right back where it belongs.

Works as advertised. Keeps things close to the vest when not in use, but can easily extend to arms length once deployed. Considering purchasing another so I can carry my camera on one and light on another.

Rating: Coil Lanyard Worked
Reviewer: Kevin Gannon, Saturday, December 26, 2009 - View all my reviews
Chose this equipment to use with new underwater light as a less pricey alternative to a coil retracter. Easily adapted to rental BCD, and stayed tucked away in smallish pocket till needed. Long enough extended to freely use light without concern and free hands. Got black, might opt for a color easier to pick up at a distance. Good buy

i have yet to dive with this item but, it looks like it will work fine. the coil portion of the lanyard is sturdy. i plan to use this for my dc1000. quality construction and ease of use are my main reasons for purchasing this item.

Rating: Just what I needed!
Reviewer: Donna Janulaitis, Sunday, September 20, 2009
I bought this Coil Lanyard for my camera to use for scuba diving and snorkeling. I do not have strobe lights. Ive used it for snorkeling so far because I havent been out scuba diving and it really suits my needs. I attached it to a belt and it stays tucked away enough when swimming over the reefs yet when needed, the buckle allows for quick release and extension of the cord.

Rating: Snappy Coil Lanyard
Reviewer: Laurene N., Tuesday, September 29, 2009 - View all my reviews
I was looking for a means to fasten my camera to my BC, to keep my hands free. This coil lanyard did the trick. Not only did it keep it close, unclipping game me three feet of coil to extend the camera on. My dive buddy was able to use it while still clipped to my BC. I even used the coiled lanyard around my wrist when I recently went snokelying and didnt have anything to clip it to.

This cord works exactly as shown. Strong and flexible. Good snap in for when you dont want the cord extended. Used it to attach a big underwater flashlight in Cozumel and worked great.

This lanyard can do it all. Attaches to BCD, rings, snaps onto things and can go around your wrist. Also very strong. I felt confident using this with my underwater camera system.

Rating: Great Lanyard
Reviewer: Lawrence W., Monday, October 06, 2008 - View all my reviews
Bought this to work with my BC and my camera.Easily attached and use. Once I jump into the water the camera is immediately tied to the lanyard. This way if I need to use both my hands I can release the camera it wont float away(my camera is slightly negative bouyancy). Once my dive has completed I just quickly unclip the lanyaed from the camera and hand it to a helper on the boat and the lanyard itself is tucked away. Love it.
