Rating: Great convenience
Reviewer: Sherry A., Sunday, May 31, 2009 - View all my reviews
I could probably get a battery for less, but its worth a little more to have everything all at once and in the same place. I dont have to worry about changing my battery and not having an o ring available. I keep a spare kit in my dive bag all the time.

Rating: Replacement battery and O-ring
Reviewer: Nathan Edwards, Sunday, April 05, 2009 - View all my reviews
Designed to work with your dive computer, the replacement battery and o-ring is easy to install. Ensure you apply constant pressure when resealing to make sure the ring holding the battery seats correctly.

Rating: No major issues

this battery kit performs as you would expect it works! im glad i purchased this, as the battery on my oceanic veo computer did indeed die during a recent live-aboard trip. the only thing that would improve the kit is if it came with the oceanic tool for opening the battery compartment, which is really a pain otherwise. the hatch tool was included with the original computer purchase, but not hard to imagine where one might not have that along with them on every trip, if not very careful.

Rating: Oceanic Battery Kit ... trying but can be done!
Reviewer: C David Leeds, Wednesday, May 14, 2008 - View all my reviews
Sat down to replace the battery in my Oceanic dive computer before heading out on the first dive of our vacation and discovered either I was retarded or the directions were not written clearly. I eventually figured it out, but the directions were obtuse at best and a less caustious person could have seriously damaged the computer in an attempt to replace the battery.

Rating: Good to have on Hand
Reviewer: George D., Thursday, June 21, 2007 - View all my reviews
Its always good to have a spare battery on hand, better than going out and buying it at radioshack, cause the one at radioshack doesnt come with the O-ring and grease that is vital to keep water out, I deffinitly recomend original equipment parts, and always haveing one on hand, cause it sucks when the screen comes on and says low battery and you are in the middle of knowhere in the Atlantic Ocean.

Rating: Oceanic Battery Kit
Reviewer: Walter Corrigan, Wednesday, April 04, 2007 - View all my reviews
The kit arrived and had all the necessary pieces and parts for installation when needed. Due to the power usage of the computer (about 50 dives), I intend to change the battery after each week-long dive trip just to be sure.

The Oceanic battery kit comes with everything you need, including a new battery! There is a new battery cover and O-ring, in case you damage the old cover or old O-ring during the removal process. There is also a new spring to keep your battery pressed against the contacts. Its more than just a replacement battery. Its got everything you didnt even know that you needed!

Just what I needed. Quite pricy however as the same battery could be bought for less than 4$ at circuit city...
