this baby really works well! i had a good beam concentration when descending, & the illumination is a+. the included diffusion filters helped for video/photo shots. the pistol gip is adjustable to balance the weight, & it feels good in the hand. the only caveat to a 5-star rating is the on/off switch: it was loose and wouldnt turn on the light when it arrived. i adjusted it as best as possible & it now works ok but at this price, i would like the factory switch installment to be flawless.

Rating: Very Illuminating

This is 1 great light! Very bright and it’s easy on batteries. I use 4000 mAh Ni-MH rechargable batteries and I recharge them after 5 30-50 minute dives and have never run out of light.
For the price this is one great light!

Rating: !!BRIGHT LIGHT!!

Took this diving on a series of night dives and daytimes dives in the Florida Keys. Amazingly bright unbeatable price. I can Almost promise you will have the brightest light in your group unless someone has spent upwards of $600. Great BUY!!!

Rating: brightest light in the sea

The UK Light Cannon is by far the brightest light in the sea. I purchased it from scuba.com and was extremely pleased with the entire process. I have used my light only once so far with great results and the envy of other divers. The rechargable battery kit is indespensable. Give about 2hrs of light. Great so far.

Rating: HID Light Cannon

In The Northwest almost where almost all dives require a light, this one is great. However, with rechargable batteries it doesnt last for a full three dives, which I usually do. It dies about 2/3 of the way through the last dive. I needed a second set of batteries to change out after second dive.

Nice size. Very bright as the HID bulb may not be instantaneous, but does come on quickly. Price quoted sounded like a great deal compared to the suggested retail, but the same light on other sites was just a tad bit more, so this was a good deal (but knocked it down a star for this). I ordered some wholesale rechargeable batteries in high mA and a nice charger instead of the rechargeable pack. Given my frequency of dives, this more than gives me enough dive time, the turn-around recharge time. Kept the alkaline batteries that come with it for back-up. All in all, I like this light.

This is a great underwater light! We bought two of them and the rechargable batteries. I would not recommend the rechargable batteries. The light uses standard C cell batteries (alkali) and that is probably all you need.

Rating: Best Value
Reviewer: Chris I., Friday, March 23, 2007
This light is hands down one of the best values in scuba gear. If you are contemplating buying your first light, spend a few extra bucks and get this one. It lives up to every one of its claims and more. I have used mine on over thirty dives so far and I always have the brightest light among the other divers with handhelds, and the rechargeable battery is still going strong. My only complaint is that the rechargeable battery pack doesnt have a charge indicator. You just have to be confident that you have had it plugged in long enough. The plusses outweigh the minuses on this one though. Five stars.

We purchased this UK Light Cannon to add with our the other one had got a couple years ago. The beams are so bright and clear underwater it looks like something from Star Wars during a night dive. We needed two to place on our underwater video camera. They are heavy but worth it. Do yourself a favor and get the recharable kit.

I recently completed my Advanced O/W night dive and this was the light I used. it is a great light. such a nice, bright, white light. all 3 instructors with my group had this same light and 2 students had it too! everyone loves this light and for good reason. i also purchased the lantern grip with makes for a very relaxed hand gripping on the light. very highly recommended. its worth the buck for the bang you get from this light.
