Rating: Sealife batteries

When I purchased me Sealife camera 6 years ago I was advised to buy a second battery as these batteries discharge quickly. when making two consecutive dives the battery may not last. I have found that to be good advice. The original battery was replaced this year. However, I have been satisfied with its performance ever all and give a rating of 4.

I bought this spare camera battery to use on a trip of a lifetime to Fiji. I was set up to do 5 days of two tank diving. I bought the spare battery anticipating to have to change it out after every dive but hoping it would last both dives. Man was I wrong. Not only did the battery last the 2 dives but a third dive that day and 3 dives the next day. At the end of the 6th dive the battery finally went dead. I was very impressed with the quality and longevity of the spare battery. I would recommend this battery to everyone.

I have been used to having a battery that barely last through a one hour dive, as does the one for the DC 500. I now use that camera for work and carry the extra battery, fully charge with me. I use my DC 1000 around the house in between dives and the battery just keeps going. I change the battery just to give the others a chance to be dicharged and charged. Funny thing....none have fully discharged yet. The real test will be in 3 week, in Bonaire.....

Highly recommend having a backup battery when on a dive trip. If you take a lot of pictures on each dive, swap out the battery with extra one between dives. If you have only 1 battery, you may miss out on some fantastic photo ops if you had to leave your camera above water while your one and only battery recharges. This Sealife Spare/Replacement Battery is identical to the one that comes with the camera and works great.

I purchased these replacements for my old batteries which I charged incorrectly in the past which affected their ability to hold a charge. I followed the instructions to the letter and the new batteries are effectively holding a charge now, lasting over an hour. Make sure that you let the batteries run low before charging and ALWAYS give them a full charge. Taking them off the charger before they are fully charged WILL adversely affect their ability to hold a charge

Bought a second battery for Sealife Camera. Charged it all night before the first use. It only lasted one dive and was dead! Recharged it the next night and gave it another try and it lasted several dives. Not sure what the deal was. Curious to see how this one performs. My orginal battery worked fine each time.

Actually this is my seond replacement. I lost the first in my move. I wouldnt go on a dive trip without an extra. Sometimes your main battery wont last much past two dives and having a charged spare makes all the difference. For the price we pay for our equipment, this is a very cheap insurance that you do not miss that manta ray picture.

Any one who uses a camera knows that nothing can ruin a moment more then wanting to capture it and have your camera go dead. This battery last a very long time but I always carry and extra especially when diving. The battery is good but it does not last forever. The best part is it is recharable and you do not have to worry about purchasing multiple batteries. I hope this helps those of you looking to purchase.
