There are a variety of ways to mount a GoPro camera. The company offers, head mounts, chest mounts, helmet mounts and a handful of other packages and mounting options. It is not designed to accept the standard tray and stobe package from other manufacturers.

For underwater use, I dont want a head or chest mount. I prefer hand held with a clip on a retractor clipped to my BCD. What options/packages are there for that? How do I order those here?

GoPro doesn't make any particular accessories like that. You would use a regular retractor, clip or lanyard similar to what you'd use for a light or slate.

The cameras have dimensions of 1.6” x 2.4” x 1.2” (42mm x 60mm x 30mm) (HERO2). You can add the optional LCD Touch BacPac which lets you frame your shots, review your footage, and makes navigating the menus slightly less painful.

Your request for a USB cable has been submitted to our returns department. The Driver free connectivity means you don't need to install disks/drivers to connect your GoPro to devices. GoPro cameras only come with 1 rechargeable battery. We do offer the spare batteries there are two types you can get. What I have found with the GoPro and it sounds like you have as well is that the battery life is not as long as one would hope. There are aftermarket filters available for the Gopro cameras. We do not offer any at this time. We have seen some very good underwater video done with the Gopro cameras as they are.

I have the Hero 2 GoPro and learned the hard way that the video at 100 ft is very blurred and you lose colors. Ive since gotten the dive housing for it as well as a red filter. 2 questions - can that same housing be used for the Hero 3 black edition? and - is the resolution for the Hero 3 better for scuba diving?

The housing is not the same for the Hero 2 and Hero 3. The Hero 3 Black edition is a higher quality camera based on the specs.

Would you recommend this camera as the only "still shot" camera for a diver to own?
I am considering a gopro white, silver or black. Would any of these models fit my needs (provided below). Any suggestions would also be appreciated.
My diving consists of 80 to 130 fsw with viz usually 40 to 100 feet all dives are made during the day. I mostly will be using the video for the over all dive site rather than focusing in on small fish. Also, I not a super expert and do not care to about 10 extra user options to squeeze out extra quality.

How does the wireless work on these cameras? Will i have the ability for divers on the boat to watch live as another diver is using the gopro? If so, what is the distance of the wireless when diving, in respect to the silver and black gopro. Thanks
