Rating: Not good for close photos and Battery life is inadequate
Reviewer: Christian A.,
I purchased this inexpensive camera before a trip to Bonaire. I wish I had paid more. I was able to get reasonable pictures from 5-10 ft but anything small would never focus no matter what settings I used. It says that macro is 2-4 feet. Dont believe it. I could not get tube worms or any kind of shrimp photos. Fish from a distance were fine. I basically had to have a set of batteries after each dive to replace. You get what you pay for. What can you expect for a $100 dive camera. I did like that I could easily fit it into my BC and like I say 5-10 ft away was fine.

Rating: Underwater camera
Reviewer: Gregory Bassett,
I received my Sealife mini 2 underwater camera just before going on a cruise to the Bahamas. We went snorkeling while we were there and I used my camera to capture some memories that I would have never had the opportunity to take home. Not only was the camera taking great underwater pictures but I also took a lot of pictures on the ship and at the ports. This camera works great and is small, lightweight, and durable. I am very happy with my purchase and my memories that I now have in photo albums purchased during the cruise. For me this camera made memories.

Rating: Excellent Underwater Camera
Reviewer: William Henderson,
While waiting for this camera delivery I read many reviews and many were unfavorable. However, after understanding why these customers were dissatisfied I soon discovered that they simply did not read the instructions and failed to setup the camera properly. I have used my Sealife Mini 2 camera several times after it came promptly in the mail, and I am completely satisfied. The pictures and videos are very clear and the camera works flawlessly. An extra “O” ring came with the camera and I will probably never need it as the installed o-ring keeps the water out at the advertised depth and stays in place. The Sealife Mini 2 camera is well made, extremely rugged, and I expect it will last for many years.

Rating: Cant Beat the Price
Reviewer: John Schneider,  - View all my reviews
this camera is sold at an unbeatable price. the six foot protection in the case makes it durable. easy setup like my larger sealife camera makes use a breeze. ill use underwater and also sailing where spray is a problem with a non-waterproof camera.

Rating: Great underwater starter camera!
Reviewer: Ed Bettin,
The camera was very easy to use and took good pictures under water and out of the water. I went on my first dive and we took a bunch of pictures and they turned out great. The original batteries that came with the camera lasted the whole week and there is still life left in them. I didnt have any problems with the memory card. I would recommend this camera to anyone.

Rating: Pleased with the Sealife Mini 2
Reviewer: Bernd Frazier,
The camera worked just fine. The operator on the other hand had to do a little learning. Its tricky to take pics underwater, particularly the first time around. The movie function was particularly good. Bobbing up and down while snorkeling makes it tough on focusing for a single shot. I did better at the end of the trip. The camera definitely met my needs. It was easy to operate and produced good quality pictures. It will have future use. If not in the water, it works great out.

Rating: underpowered
Reviewer: John S.,
I missed out on a lot of good pictures on my trip to the great barrier reef because the camera would only go 10 minutes on a set of batteries. (2 - AAA). If it uses that much power, it should have been designed with a larger, rechargeable, Li-ion battery - like most phones and cameras. Bummer, because other wise it seemed like a good camera. I was careful and had no problems with the seals leaking and it worked good for 10 minutes... thats why I gave it 2 instead of 1 star. I am returning mine. Hopefully scuba.com discontinues this model but replaces it with another affordable model...

Rating: Sealife Mini 2 Dive Camera
Reviewer: Steven LeCheminant,  - View all my reviews
bought this camera, on sale, for an upcoming snorkel adventure in hawaii. i also bought the wide angle lenses. the program is very easy to use and is specific for land, snorkel, and dive modes. at first, i used two aaa duracell batteries and found the camera will eat them up in no time. tried rechargeable batteries and got more life out of them. for the snorkeling, i will use the lithium type which will give the time i need for the dive. the 3x zoom is quirky and goes in steps by pressing the zoom button. it is important to the proper battery setting on the menu for the camera to sense battery use. fully read the instructions and play with the camera before using. the camera is sensitive to light. the flash will use up the battery quickly. without flash, use good lighting. with the wide angle lens in place, the flash will not work well. since the camera is not buoyant, i bought a floatation strap. the only draw backs i can see is that the camera is a fair weather camera with average photos. the memory card is limited to 8gb and they are getting hard to find as memory cards are getting much bigger. the battery use is very high. the rear view screen is not bright enough, but gets a person in the right area. the pluses are that there is not a better camera, rated to 130ft, for the price. the construction of the camera appears excellent. the camera is easy to use. there is an extra o ring that comes with the unit. the unit is fairly shock resistant. the price is hundreds lower than anything close to its abilities. for me, an infrequent snorkeler, it fits the bill perfectly. the camera came quickly from scuba.com. if you are a frequent diver, then prepare to spend 15-20 times more.

Rating: Sealife Mini 2 Underwater Dive Camera
Reviewer: Eina F.,
I bought this as a short term replacement for my Sealife DC 1400, while I decide ultimately what to replace it with. This item is small and compact, and does a satisfactory job. I think the pictures on land are a little better than those taken underwater. Flash is not too strong, so it is good for close up pictures in clear water. My previous Sealife has done a great job for many years. This item is good for basic underwater photography.
