Rating: Great Camara for the price!
Reviewer: Joyce G., Sunday, September 09, 2007
i did a lot of research before i made my purchase. im extremely happy with the purchase. i took the camera to an indoor water park and to the beach. i got shots that i never would have been able to get with my non waterproof digital camera. an sd card is a must. my other digital camera uses an sd card so i did not purchase one with the camera. rechargeable aa batteries work great (some of my childrens toys do not work that great with rechargeables so i was very pleased). i changed batteries once during my one week visit to the beach. i took a variety of pictures with the camera landscape, pool pictures, in the surf pictures, etc.
i even ped the camera by accident from the table at the pool while gathering all my stuff. the sd card popped out but nothing else happened.
it takes a while to get familar with all the options so practice with the camera before a trip.

Fantastic! Purchased this for a recent cruise and the diving excursions at Key Largo, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Camera performed beautifully, not only for taking some 152 pictures, but (2) movie files as well (including sound). It’s perfect size for me, large enough for ease of control of as you kick under water, but small enough to store inside your BCD when not using. Takes excellent on land shots as well...a great value and I highly recommend. The only negative, and this could be more my fault than the camera’s, but the optional 512 Meg SD mini memory card I purchased for this camera will pop out of its socket if camera is bumped. Because of this, I missed some picture opportunities on my 2nd dive at Cayman, however, my diving companions sent me the pictures they had taken so it wasn’t a total lost opportunity.

Rating: Sealife Ecoshot 6MP DIG Camera
Reviewer: Jason Mull, Monday, June 16, 2008
So far the camera has worked out quite well. Ive only carried it on six dives and three snorkeling trips so far. Its small enough to fit into the pockets of my BCD so I can keep it tucked out of the way until I need it. The exterior is a soft rubber making it easy to grip underwater. It powers on quickly and holds up to a 1GB memory card which was more than enough for me to get a bunch of photos for the family. 52ft is the deepest Ive taken it and there were no leaks or issues with the camera. The clarity of the photos was great but there was a lack of color which can be expected the deeper you dive without a powerful flash. There is a flash on camera and you can adjust the white balance but when on a dive I dont waist air playing with camera setting. Its a great camera for capturing a few memories without a big investment.

Rating: Great camera for the price!
Reviewer: Frankie H., Thursday, April 10, 2008
I bought this little camera just before a trip to Hawaii last month. I own 5 professional quality cameras and work as a photographer, but this was my first underwater camera. I wasnt sure what to expect from such an inexpensive underwater digital, but I assure you I was happily surprised. I went on a shark cage dive off the North shore of Hawaii, and my shark photos are excellent. The photos are clear and high quality (6 megapixels). What surprised me most, however, was the great shots it took out of the water. I have found myslef a great little traveling camera for all those places where I never felt comfortable taking my big digitals for fear of sand and salt water. Get this camera, you wont be sorry...oh, its easy to use and the video mode does great, too!

Rating: Awesome Camera

Bought the camera at the last minute prior to my cruise and I am glad I did.
It doubled for on shore as well as underwater shooting. I believe it is the least costly entry level camera of its kind. I bought the mini wide angle lens at a local store and was glad I did as it provided greater image coverage.
I did have to get used to the lens fogging if moving from an air conditioned room to an outdoor location, but this was short term.

We took this camera on a cruise. Thinking it would take fair pictures, since it would be used underwater and since it was only 6mp. I have an SLR camera and I expected my pictures with the Sealife would not be nearly as good quality, but I could not take my SLR to swim with the dolphins or horseback ride in the ocean. Was I surprised with the quality of the pictures, they were excellent.

Rating: Great Camera
Reviewer: Carlos P., Friday, July 04, 2008 - View all my reviews
The camera took great pictures all the way down to 85 feet even though it is only rated to 75. It does go through batteries very fast, but if you the expensive Duracell or Ever ready batteries, you will be better off. I bought Ever Ready super long lasting and was able to take pictures and video during four different dives in two days and I still have battery life left.

For the price it is unbelievable! Must get the memory upgrade. Without it, it is a joke. PLay with in a pool first, a lot of features to learn. Features are hard to learn underwatwer and read. Once they are figured out, it works fine. A great camera for the person who wants to take a lot of pictures undrwater and then edit when you get to dry land. Works on lnad too!

Rating: Very good camera
Reviewer: William S., Friday, April 11, 2008
For the price, this is a wonderful digital camera. My only complaint with it is the short battery life...about an hour. But the picture quality is excellent, and the video mode is unbelieveably clear.
