While in the Bahamas diving in early August, my camera strobes gasket must of rolled and the new strobe flooded in the boats fresh water tank. I took the strobe apart and dried it out overnight and put it back together the next morning. Installed a Sealife Moisture Muncher in the back of the strobe and it worked fine the rest of the week. Thank you for a great product. Dean Soderbeck

I have been using moisture munchers with my DC 1200 camera for some time, and I love them. No doubt about whether there is moisture in the camera or not. I will continue to use these little babies as long as I have my camera!

Moisture Munchers have always kept my Sealife cameras from fogging. When I have been without them internal fogging can be a problem. They have never failed me, and Ive owned Sealife cameras for around 10 years. I wont leave home without them.

Rating: These Munchers really suck the water in so your lens stay unfogged!
Reviewer: Judith D.
I really like this product as it is simple to use and easy to replace. It does exactly what the product indicates it does so I always buy this brand to protect my investment and my enjoyment of the underwater dives. Youll notice the difference yourself once you start using these little tubes which dont move around, dont leak and dont get in the way of picture taking either.

Purchased two packs of these. Very useful, unfortunately one pack was accidently cut opened by a pen knife, causing several munchers to change color.

Questions and Answers for Sealife Moisture Muncher:

  • Caffery:

I used the sealife moisture munchers with my camera set up. One of the problems I have been having is keep the unused munchers from turning pink. When I go in a dive trip, I only take about two munchers. The unused one are sealed in it package and then I used an additional ziploc bag and store them in a cool dry place such as my closet. Not that I am living in a hot and dry climate. I am not sure what is going on here. Also is there some other methods to use to prolong the life of the unsued munchers. Frankly, I am tired of buying a complete package of 10 only to use 2 to 4 of them.

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Caffery, if you have a vacuum sealer that would be the best thing to use. You want to take out all of the air in the bag. The air is what's making the turn pink.

  • David:

I just purchased the SL337 Elite package and used the camera ON 4 dives last week. I didnt purchase moisture munchers, but based on what I have read it looks like a good idea. I have a few questions. My camera takes AAA batteries and flash uses AA batteries. Is this product to be placed in the battery compartment between use? If so, will the product fit in both AAA and AA? How often do I need to remove batteries and use moisture muncher...after each day? Thanks

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

These go in the camera housing next to the camera. They start out blue and turn pink when used up. Usually no need to use them in the strobe.

  • Bosco:

I have moisture muncher for my gun case that can be put in the oven and rejuvenated. Can the Sealife muncher be done this way? Just wondered!

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Bosco, no they can not be reused. One they turn pink/purple they are no good and need to be replaced. Or risk your device.

  • Loretta:

Will I be able to use these munchers in my SeaLife DC 1400 camera housing?

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

    Yes.
