Have not had the gauge under water yet, but it appears well constructed. I will use it for my pony bottle. It does not appear that the hose can be exchanged which is a disappoitment, for some pony applications it would be nice to have a short hose.

I use this gauge on my pony bottle so I always know exactly how much air is remaining. Its great because I dont have to have another computer, but still get the information that I need. Inexpensive, but very useful.

As an instructor I started using the Mares Brass Mini Pressure Gauge as one of the quick fixes for problems on students gear. I soon realized that the replacements were lasting longer, without servicing, than the gauges I used to use.

Basically, I wanted to settup my 19cu ft pony to be attached to my main tank. I didnt want a tiny button gauge that I couldnt see once the tank was mounted to my back. I also wanted to keep my configuration simple, inexpensive, and clean. This gauge suits my purposes very well. I simply clip it off to my left upper d- ring and it is there for nice easy access and clear reading. Depending upon where you decide to mount the gauge, the hose may be a bit too short, but in my case it is fine.

My wife and I dive in dark and low vis conditions. She does photography and has her hands full working the camera. Her computer is hard for me to read and therefore I have put the Mares Mini Pressure Gauge on her second High Pressure port and strapped it on to the tank. Now I can read her tank pressure anytime, while staying out of her way.

GREAT product! I use it as a safety backup for my all digital computer. Nice to always KNOW how much air you have. Everybody needs something like this. Can be easilt tucked out of the way until needed. Has great glow in the dark face too! Very cool product.
