I love it.I wanted a depth gauge to use while we dive with are brownie hookha rig. A dive computer is expensive and we were told the computers were not intended for that kind of diving. The wrist depth gauge has been great we know how deep we are going and therfore if we need to hang and some deco.
It is easy to read, comfortable and not in the way. I realy like that it will retain your deppest depth form your last dive.
BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really like depth gauge. Easy to see and is very accurate.
I compared a few times to my dive computer and they were the same.
Great unit and would suggest.

This is the best analog gauge Ive found, would rather use this than a digital, its accurate and glows in the dark, great for murky water. The one thing I dont like is its thick about 1 inch or more, and if you freedive around rocks like me, it will get banged up quick, I have the wrist boot and wear it high on my forearm to avoid this.

Rating: Depth Gauge for night dives
Reviewer: David Coney,
I have had the chance to use the Sherwood Depth Gauge on three dives. The three dives were all overhead enviroment one was a night dive. The glow in the dark dial with the large numbers was very easy to read.

I bought the Sherwood depth gauge as a backup to my computer. As a wrist mount gauge it was comfortable and easy to read. I like the big face especially during decompression stops. I wear it right next to my dive watch and this made it very easy to read. For new divers this should be a must item to have. It is simple and easy and this makes for a safe dive. I am very happy with this product. Grant Randall, Delmar, New York, 10/16/2006

Questions and Answers for Sherwood Depth Gauge with Max Depth Indicator.:
David:
do your gauges work for 2 feet of water?
Clarke (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Hello David, Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, there would be an approximate reading of 2 feet on this analog depth gauge. For a more exact measuring device for depth, I would recommend a computer depth gauge such as the Oceanic B.U.D. (Back Up Device) Air / Nitrox Dive Computer http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-17/009337/Oceanic-B.U.D.-Back-Up-Device-Air---Nitrox-Dive-Computer.html If you would like to place an order or have questions about our products, please contact one of our certified Dive Instructors at SCUBA.com by calling 800-247-2822 <> 949-221-9300 or e-mail us at: info@scuba.com
Rob:
Can you tell me the diameter of the gauge? Trying to find out if it will fit in current console (that I want to keep) as I like the current SPG/compass and slate configuration. Just need a replacement depth gauge. Thanks.
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
This is a low profile gauge and may not fit properly in an older console, prior to 2008.
Rob:
Bill, thanks, but Im looking for the diameter. The console is a Suunto. The Suunto depth gauge crapped out and I cant seem to locate an OEM replacement. Frankly I dont want to buy a whole new package. If the gauge is 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches in diameter it will fit. Thanks
