Rating: Deep extra pocket on thigh
Reviewer: Marc StClair, Monday, August 04, 2008 - View all my reviews
This adds an extra pocket for your diving needs besides using your BCD pockets (if you have any on your BCD). It is deep enought to hold instructor dive slates, lightweight gloves, and misc dive items. This pocket allows the diver quick and easy access to stowed gear while on a dive. Instead of searching for items in BCD pockets or carabiners. It has a lanyard inside the pocket to secure things from floating out when pocket is opened. The top strap connects to a D-ring on the bottom of the BCD and has a clip for easy removal. The pocket flap has a velcro closure. The drawbacks for this prodcut are thigh pocket does slide a bit while being worn on the leg and there is excess strap material when the straps are tightened. I did not cut my strap material, due to wearing thicker wetsuits. I may sew extra Velcro to the straps to keep them out of the way. If you need extra pocket space for misc dive items, then this pocket may work for you.

Rating: Dive Rite Thigh Pocket
Reviewer: Donald A. Dutcher, Saturday, September 13, 2008
The price is not bad and the pocket is made of quality materials except the thigh strap which did not seem to be very durable or abrasion resistant. Too elastic. The excess webbing on the fastening strap just hangs on the leg so it needs to be cut off or otherwise secured. Also the pocket is a bit narrower than I wanted. Tight fit for masks. In the end, I returned this item because I did not like the way it rode on my leg in addition to the above issues. BOTTOM LINE: Seems like someone just threw some straps onto the BC pocket and called it a thigh rig, but you get what you pay for.

Very well made and roomy, if a little expensive. Two compartments seperated by a mesh panel and an integral clip for attaching things to.
Excellent to get some of the junk off your BC and out of the way.

Work very good with wet or dry suit. Add the zipper pull balls no 030979. I have to change the belt 2" nylon for a easy clips to attach to my "D ring" BC.

Very nice, I like that it can be switched from wetsuit to wetsuit unlike the glued ones. Descent size, good price.
