I found that this product will work very well in a different use. I purchased the wrap that turned out to be small for what I had planned to use it for( to hold the knife on my lower leg.) I didnt order the larger size. My fault. However I have found that it will work quite well to attach additional gear to my BC. I would say that it could have additional usage other than for the purpose of holding a knife. I feel that I will find them to be very useful during my dives.

Velcro holds good. And if you need it to be longer (to put knife around top of leg etc.) you can combine two wraps easily.
