Rating: Henderson 3mm Thermoprene Zippered Vest

i had the good fortune to test the vest in bermuda in late may and the vest exceeded my expectations for fit, durability and warmth. the key to ing the right vest size is to go up 2 sizes (at least for me). i wear an xl t-shirt / shirt but required a 3xl to get the right fit. now, if the vest only came with a "six pack" : )

Rating: Henderson Front Zippered Vest
Reviewer: Steven E., Monday, February 08, 2010
I purchased this vest to serve a dual role. First to add a layer of warmth while in the lap pool 3 times a week and also to use on warm water dive trips as a substitute for my 4mm shorty. To date I have only been in the pool with it. The front zipper makes it very easy to get on and off. It is well constructed and provides the needed layer of warmth. My only complaint is that while swimming the crawl stroke the zipper doesnt stay zipped all the way. I doubt this will be an issue while diving with much less upper body motion and a BC over the top. According to the Henderson sizing chart I should wear a mens medium (I took measurements to be sure). So that is what I ordered. It was way beyond snug and I had to return it for a large size. With the added cost of return shipping it made the vest a little on the pricey side.

The fit was great and very easy to get on and off. It was nice for a little added warmth in our swimming in the Caribean waters. With the vest much longer swims were possible without getting cold.

Great vest, wish Henderson still made the Hyper Stretch though.
