My husband and I recently took a trip to Cozumel. We had been diving in dive skins. These new wetsuits were wonderful. They both fit great and totally kept us warm. I would highly recommend these 3mm suits.

Fit exactly as expected, perfect length in arms and legs and very comfortable. We dove 3-4 x a day for a week and I never struggled to get the suit on even when wet.. Id highly recommend this suit for any woman taller than 59"" who wants a great fit and nice looking wetsuit at a reasonable price.

I ordered size L (I am size 8 North American) and found it too tight in shoulders and especially around the neck. Also seams to be shorth in length. Have to exchange for XL... Overall the look is very sharp (with yellow accent), and the stretch is great.

Rating: Awesome

This is agreat wetsuit for the price. It has a lot of give when putting it on, and it fits true to size. Thermal rating is a little better than others in its class, and without going to something with a bunch of seals that costs three times the price, this is your best bang for the buck. Highly recommended.

Rating: If your Tall heres your suit
Reviewer: Holly L.  -  View all my reviews
Great suit!! Been looking for a tall womens suit to cover all my 36 inch length legs, without being too long in the torso (im 510, 153 lb got a 8T) This suit is it. The fit is perfect and the suit is extremely comfortable (very soft instead of a stiff neoprene) and easy to get on and off. Just used it during a dive in Florida was very pleased with the warmth and fit. BTW this was the 3rd long suit I tried and its like a custom fitted suit.

Great wet suit, I always like that Henderson has tall sizes! Sort of a pain to get out of! But that is probably every wetsuit.

Questions and Answers for Henderson 3mm Thermoprene Wetsuit:

  • david:

i have two questions i am new to the sport but resort padi certified, i am 61" a waist of 35 and a weight of 195lbs what size wet suite would you recommend? not sure what side i should lean to, larger like an xl or a l/tall. was looking to possibly purchase the atomic st1 regulator, am i crazy for spending that much $ for a regulator that i may only use a few times a year? i live in upstate new york and am trying to only buy one wet suite to meet 75 degree temp and also be able to use in warm water as well, would a 3mm suite work?

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

The most important measurements any time you purchase a wetsuit using the manufacturer's sizing charts will always be your waist and chest/bust measurements. The suit needs to fit your torso correctly in order to do its job properly. Keep in mind there is no such thing as a comfortable wetsuit on the surface. You want it to be snug, but not cut off circulation to your extremities. The more snug it is, the thinner the layer of water your body is heating. If its too loose you will remain warm for awhile, but eventually your body won't be able to keep up with the greater amount of water flowing through the suit and you'll wind up getting cold faster. After that your height is a secondary measurement. The manufacturers realize that generally speaking your boots and gloves can overlap slightly short arms and legs, or the diver can push or roll up longer sleeves and/or arms if need be. Weight is a measurement the diver can usually ignore. It really has little to no bearing what so ever on the sizing and fit of your suit. The manufacturers do not take into account muscle being more dense than fat, so based simply on fitness levels 2 people can be the exact same size but quite different in weight. This measurement should only be used if the person is literally on the fence between 2 sizes in all categories.

  • Holly:

New to diving trying to find a wetsuit that fits a long legged woman. Looked at the Henderson that has a tall not sure whether to try a 10T or 12T as sizes in different body areas are different. Im 510, 35 length legs, wt 155, bust 36 so I could be a 10T or the 12T. Any recommendations. I have tried a pinnacle suit but to short in the legs and arms in both L and XL, pulling at shoulders on the L loose bat wings on the XL. Any help would be great

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Holly, since you are at the tall version. I would suggest that you go by your waist and chest measurements then go with the tall version that you fit into.

  • Lisa:

Is it true that the more the stretch, the less warmth a wetsuit has? I am looking at 3mm wetsuits (warm water diving) and am debating on the stretch capabilities since I get cold easy.

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

The super stretch material will compress more at depth which will be just a little less thermal protection, but the comfort of the suit is generally worth it.

  • Hank:

Just purchased....What approximate Temperature range would this suit provide thermal protection?

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

    75-85 degrees

  • Brian:

What is the approximate dry weight of a mens Henderson medium thermopreme and a womens medium short as we are extremely limited on the amount of weight that we can take with us. Thank you.

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

    About 2 lbs.

  • Dana:

What is the difference between thermoprene and aqua lock as far as stretch in the Henderson 3mm wetsuit thank you

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Dana, the Thermoprene suit is made of a super-stretch material that is 75% stretch. The Aqua Lock is made of a super=stretch material that is 200% stretch.

  • Dana:

do the henderson womens 3mm full wetsuits come in short? What is the difference between thermoprene and aqualock?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Dana, yes they come in the short and tall version in the all black color. The Black/Pink only come in the standard sizes.

  • jaclyn:

Im looking for the Henderson Aqua-loc size 12 jumpsuit. Is this style the same everywhere? In researching, I can purchase this with a free dry bag with it but Ive tried on 7 wet suits and the is the one that fits the best so Im a bit reluctant to get it on line.

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

This is a different suit altogether. The Thermoprene is one of the original blends of stretchy neoprene and is only 75% more elastic than normal neoprene. For information on the Aqualoc, please contact our instructors at info@scuba.com

  • Deborah:

What is the temperature range for which this suit is appropriate?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Deborah, this suit in the 3mm is designed for water temp. 75 and up.

  • Patrick:

Looking for the Thermopreme 3mm for my daughter. She is 13 but tall 57" 110lbs and waist 25". Will the 5T-6T fit or should I go up in size to an 8 for her.

Arthur  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello, I would bump her up to the size 8.

  • Terese:

I need a tall wetsuit. I am looking at the Henderson thermoprene 10T. They never give the girth measurement, which is just as important as the waist and bust. What is the girth measurement for this suit? BTW the girth is when you loop the tape measure around your body thru crotch , up back and over shoulders. Mine is 90". Will I fit in this suit without a major wedgie?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Terese, the manufacture does not give us that measurement. You would ned to contact them for that measurement. You can contact them directly at 800.222.0347
