For 10 bucks it does the trick, granted you have sufficient sunlight. Pictures can be too dark if its cloudy out. But overall a good cheap substitute for those expensive digital camera housings.

does 45mm feet deep mean that it can go that deep in the water? we would only use it for like 8 feet of water..

Hello Ashley, yes this camera can go as deep as 45 feet. So you will be fine in 8 feet of water. Also this takes 35mm film and as long as the picture is no more then 4 feet away you should have great pictures. If you have any other questions please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.

It does not have a built in flash, so if used at night it would require the assistance of a separate light.
