The pictures actually turned out better than I expected. Using 200 speed film in 20+ feet of viz, the pictures were clear and rich. Been on 2 dives with max depth of 20 ft, but will be taking it deeper soon with an overseas trip. Recently bought a wide angle lense and strobe. Anxious to see how well they work, especially since the lense on the camera just doesnt capture enough real estate for my taste. The wide angle lense will snap in to place, but you have to apply some "push factor" to it. Once it staps on, it feels very secure. When I graduate up to a digital camera, I will give this one to my 2 diving children to use. If not for handing this camera off to my kids, I would have spent my money towards a digital since this camera and its accessories add up after a while. Note: If you buy a wide angle lense, you probably will have to buy a strobe, too, because the wide angle lense blocks part of the built-in flash. Overall, a very good investment for my family to take many pictures for many dives to come.

I am a diver for the Bureau of Reclamation and we use a camera that has a wide angle lense. I was used to the wide angle lense and took pictures the same way I would for work (Up close). This caused pictures to be zoomed in on way to close so I got portions of what I was trying to photograph instead of the entire object. The pictures didnt come out as well as I would have hoped. I lost color very fast as I moved away from the object. I think I could get a lot better pictures if I had a digital camera. If you would like to have memories of stuff you see underwater, a digital camera or a camera with a wide-angle lense would be better in my opinion.

I was very excited about having a relatively inexpensive underwater camera that self advances to take on vacation. As long as there was no film in the camers it operated fine...once the film was added it did not advance properly. It would make a low grinding noise and advance the film 3 or so frames...if at all. A roll of 27 frame film took 11 pics total before a film change was necessary. I wound up using a disposable underwater camera for the second half of vacation. Requested replacement from scuba.com.

The camera was easy to use, and very durable. My first time using it, I took it 10,000 miles around to the other side of the world, and it did great. Loading the film is a bit tricky, not like other 35mm. A better explantion would be helpful. And a big emphasis on the maximum range of taking pictures. they wont turn out if you are closer than 4ft to the subject. They will be blurry. Not good for any type of small critter shoots. But for the big guys it was awesome.

For a 35mm, its decent - didnt leak, took OK pictures. Options would be nice to have, but too much investment would rather go to digital. The rewind capability doesnt tick back the film counter, which made the first film change a little scary - but even though the counter increased to 36, the film did rewind and all the pictures turned out well.

The camera is fine, recognizing that it is a film camera, not a digital one, but for the money it is a good value. My problem is with your packaging of it for shipment. The boxed camera was put in a larger cardboard box with no bubble wrap, peanuts or other cushioning. When shipping electronics, you need to be more careful.

This was my first UW camera and I have to say I was impressed by its quality. It might not be a high end digital camera, but it is a great beginners camera. You get used to it real easy and with the addition of the external strobe and some practice it takes wonderful pictures.

The camera itself is very basic. The camera housing is durable and so far very waterproof. The attachments are simple to add on. Photo quality varies. It works best with a strobe. Without a stobe if viz is good the photos are nice.Overall,good starter underwater camera.

This camera is great for even a beginner. Super simple to use right out of the box. This is my first underwater camera and Im very happy with the quality of it! I would highly recommend the Sportdiver II to anyone thinking of purchasing a camera for diving.

The plastic housing became a little spotted in salt water and had to be cleaned often. Small flash is ok within 5 or 6 feet, but water really needs to be clear. Good camera for beginners for the price.
