Rating: Best visibility hose ever!!!!
Reviewer: robert w.,
Overall Im very happy with this product. Much brighter than the dull yellow octo hoses everyone else has!! Also the braided techology seems to hold up very well! Great product!!! Highly Highly RECOMMENDED!!! The only complaint I have is that all the other Miflex hoses Ive seen for sale come with a water resistant bag that can be re-used. This one unfortunatly didnt :( Small thing that would of been nice to have!
Thanks for a great product!!!

Got this hose for my octo do to some wreck diving and penetration emergency drills. Excellent. Bright color was easy to see in limited visibility, and the flexability was great for doing a nice S-coil behind my BCD to keep it out of the way.

Rating: I Love MIFLEX
Reviewer: Timothy Locklear,
Love these hoses. Basically eliminated the jaw fatigue caused by my old rubber hoses. Very durable, flexible, and attractive. No problems so far. I recommend MIFLEX to anyone looking to lighten their kit or make their reg set more comfortable. A++

Rating: Great Product for under arm regulator hose!!!!!
Reviewer: Ryan Rexroad, - View all my reviews
This is a great hose much better then a standard rubber hose. I purchase the 48" hose so, I could run the hose under my right arm to prevent my hose getting hung up on kelp, weeds, rocks etc.. The most important part of this product is that if you tie it in a knot it will still work and I can vouch for that. I was diving and the hose kinked at my swivel just off my 1st stage and I didnt notice it until I got out of the water and my dive buddy saw it. There was no reduction in air flow.

Rating: looking forward to a longer hose life

i got this MIFLEX regulator hose for its supposed longevity. as a part of my regulator system, it performs adequately and the same as the conventional one it replaced, which is what i expected.
there are two things worthy of note: 1. the day glow yellow color which i chose is extremely visible and that was commented on by my dive buddies. 2. the hose is very slick. i think that helps prevent external wear. it is so slippery, however, that the hose slips thru the clip which i use to fasten it on my bcd. i had the old hose fastened so that the regulator was on my right shoulder and close to my mouth. now, the regulator end of the MIFLEX slips from my shoulder all the way down below my waist, still threaded thru the clip at my shoulder. a trade-off i suppose. it seems that only a smaller diameter or traction material coated clip will solve this problem.

No more sore jaw muscles from having to clamp down on my regulator mouth piece to keep the regulator hose from pushing it out of my mouth. Almost like a "virtual" connection between the first and second stage.

Rating: Why do rubber hoses still exist?

compared to rubber hoses, these hoses are lighter, stronger, more flexible and they look cool. the standard scuba hose is simply a thick rubber hose that is used for scuba. these are hoses that are designed from the ground up with diving in mind. again, i would say its time for the standard scuba hose to be, well, hosed and replaced with the in-every-way-superior miflex.

Rating: Smooth attack and detach.
Reviewer: LEUNG YUN SUM,
It works very smoothly when I plug in and off.
Surely the hose itself is soft.
I like this. Now all my hoses are miflex.

Questions and Answers for XS Scuba MIFLEX Braided Regulator Hose:
James:
I am new to diving and starting to buy my own equipment. Im thinking of buying a wrist comp with remote pressure transmitter. Is this a good choice and do I build a reg from parts or buy one as a kit? I am currently diving reefs and spear fishing but intend to do some wreck diving. I was told a din valve would be better.
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Air integrated hoseless wrist computers are very popular and typically will include all the features a recreational diver might need. As for the rest of your gear you should call one of our instructors at 800-347-2822 for some help putting together a package.
Jeffrey:
currently i am using mk25/A700
i am planning to change the hose, is there any guide on how to change? it looks like i would need to have a special tools to remove the hose from the 2nd stage.
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
The scubapro does use a special wrench to remove the hose. The miflex uses a standard adjustable wrench.
Jon:
I just checked out the MIFLEX hoses on the XS Scuba website and noticed theyre now MIFLEX 2. Are the MIFLEX hoses on Scuba.com MIFLEX 2 or the original MIFLEX? Thx!
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
The originals are no longer available. They are the most current hoses XS Scuba is offering (in this case the 2nd generation)
I have an atomic T2 x regulator and am interested in converting from the atomic rubber hose to the Miflex braided hose. I have looked at the regulator swivel connection to the rubber hose and it is crimped, is there a way to convert to the miflex?
Darrick (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Hello JT, you would need to go with a whole new set-up. If you want a miflex hose. Removal of the swivel with destroy the hose and the swivel you have currently would be worthless.
Alex:
Is this a high pressure hose at 6 inch? I want to add the HD net ready transmitter to it.
