I read the reviews and thought that the Sherwood SR1 Scuba Regulator was a combination of the right price and quality that I was looking for. When I told my scuba instructor that I was going to order it, he tried very hard to get me to buy another brand. I stuck with my guns and purchased the Sherwood. I have been on half a dozen dives with it now and am very happy. It is so much better than all the regulators I had rented up until my purchase. Even my instructor admits that it was a great purchase. He tells me that the quality is very high and that it should last a lifetime if I take care of it. I use it with my Sherwood Avid Scuba BC and they are a great comination.

I love this reg. I have TMJ so I get jaw fatigue very easily but the SR1s lightweight/balanced 2nd stage is very comfortable and easy to hang on to - I havent had any discomfort with it at all. The 360 degree swivel on the 1st stage give a greater range of motion as well - it moves with you so you dont feel any tug on the mouthpiece. Also, the "Diver Adjustable" air flow is a neat feature – I have minor asthma so it gives me better versatility depending on how my lungs are feeling - I think of it as a "security blanket" feature. Overall this is a FANTASTIC reg and Id recommend it 100%.

A great balanced reg. good performance. 360 degree first stage is simple and works well. Some say that mouthpiece creates jaw fatigue on the older model, but not a problem with the new product.

The best regulator I have ever used. I love the swivel on the first and second stage, it really reduces jaw fatigue. Very easy to breath from at any depth,and it looks great.
