Rating: Great regulator
Reviewer: Beau Rampey, Saturday, January 20, 2007 - View all my reviews
this is the first regulator i have owned. i have tried many regulators both from other people and rentals as well. this regulator feels very solid and breathes easily. i live in santa barbara california, and here most of the retail shops sell aqualung titan regs, or atomic regulators. i absolutely dislike aqualung regulators which ive used many times on rental. they have a cheap toy feel to them. the atomic regulators usualy have a kind of ball socket between the second stage hose and second stage regulator which makes it more comfortable in your mouth. they are highly rated, however, they breath the same as an xs tri-metal and have a less comfortable mouthpiece and cost almost 3x more money. my only complaint on the xs scuba trimetal regulator is that the adjustment knob is strange, and has been unpredictaby taken in sand on some of my beach dives. this regulator definetly is well built and performs like many high priced regulators.

Rating: Breathin Easy!
Reviewer: Brian Olson Instructor, Sunday, August 20, 2006
One of the easiest breathing regs I have ever used! This unit has a diver-adjustable air-flow which cuts down on free-flow, but allows you to breathe at depth like youre still standing on the deck. The swivel at the first stage allows for ease of movement with no jaw fatigue. It also has Five low pressure ports and Two high pressure ports which means that this regulator can be configured as a primary with a drysuit hose or as a stand-alone pony bottle reg. This regulator performs as well as much more expensive models for half the price.

Rating: Quality... at a price you can afford.
Reviewer: David Kaplar, Monday, October 30, 2006
This regulator works with me to control my breathing... and gain more bottom time. I didnt want to spend alot of money because I only dive during lobster season... but I needed a new one after 18 years with my first regulator. The technology has improved quite a bit... it is easy to hold in my mouth... and easy to breath those long, slow, relaxed breaths... I didnt feel like I was fighting it. More bottom time means more lobster in the pot on the stove.

Rating: Good reg
Reviewer: Shawn Lonsfjord, Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - View all my reviews
I was pleased with the easy draw of the Seaair Tri. My air consumption noticeably lowered with its use. I noticed no free-flow in 6 daays of diving. The flow adjustment is a nice addition, although I really felt no need to either restrict or increase the airflow setting on dives down to 135". I did play with it though & found it worked adequately. I would highly recommend this set-up.

Rating: Sweet breather
Reviewer: David Martin, Tuesday, January 30, 2007 - View all my reviews
This reg got high marks from scuba labs and it is no wonder. Dry in virtually any position the reg breaths easy on both shallow and deep dives. The adjustable air flow is there and works well if you want to tune it to depth. Or just set it and forget it and it will still breath easy. A bargain for the price compared to other regs.

Rating: Try the Tri Metal
Reviewer: Douglas Sourbeer, Tuesday, July 24, 2007
This regulator has a swivel body which helps with hose placement or setup. Also there ar 4 Lp ports and 2 Hp ports. I used this with the Seaair secondary in 51 degree F at 65 ft and found it very comfortable. A few minutes and you forget its there. Easy to recommend expecially at the price.

Bought one for me and one for my wife. We have used them on a 1 week trip in Belize. Both units worked great with no problems. I would highly recommend these regulators, they are a great value.
