This regulator is affordable and breathes wonderfully! While I hope to dive more often, this reg is a perfect and affordable choice for those of you who dont dive all that often. Mouthpiece is comfortable as well!

Rating: Easy regulator
Reviewer: Tonya Wanner,
This regulator is good quality for the money. Ive used it for a couple of months and not once has it expelled oxygen freely. It is light weight and easy to use. I would recommend a fitted mouthpiece. After awhile, it does make your jaw sore. I am very happy with my purchase.

Rating: Great Regulator for a great price
Reviewer: ryan larowe,
This regulator is the first Ive owned. Ive used rental equipment and friends equipment before and this regulator surpasses them all with function and comfort.

Its lightweight and doesnt cause any jaw fatigue. Im rather partial to it. It works well and I took it in some really cold water (41F) and it didnt freeze open like many other non-environmentally sealed regulators.

My son and I used these for a week of intensive diving in Key Largo, and these worked without a hitch. Breathing effort is comparable to other regulators in the price range.

One of the best breathing regs in this price range. Also, very dry in all positions. I will probably be purchasing another one for a family member soon.
Questions and Answers for Oceanic Alpha 8 Sport Scuba Regulator:
Michelle:
Hi Im new at diving and was wondering about the alpha 8 regs. Is there everything I will need on this reg set as Im worried as i dont know much about regs but someone has recommended this set. Does it have 1st and 2nd stage. Can I have depth gauge attached or is it attached. Are they din fitting .
Darrick (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Hello Michelle, yes this unit would come with the 1st stage (tank connection) and the primary 2nd stage (primary regulator). You will still need to get octo, power inflator for BCD, and a computer/gauge set-up so you can see your depth and air pressure. If you would like to place an order or have any other questions please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822
