Dear Scuba.com CIs, I am looking at masks with corrective lenses. Given the strengths,, I can not match my prescription exactly. For nearsightedness, is it better to go up in strength or down in strength (i.e., prescription -3.25 should choose -3.0 or -3.5)? Also, my left eye is almost normal (-0.25) so I was considering either no lens or, possibly, the bifocal as my prescription can include an optional +2 bifocal, although I dont bother with all of my glasses. Is there any reason why the "farsighted" positive gauge reader lens wouldnt work? Thanks in advance, David

I have been searching for a good mask with positive reader lens (+2.5 left and +3.0 right). For this Scubapro Solara Mask, are the optical lens a stick-on type (which has this outwardly visible dividing lines)? I actually do not want it to be visible.
You can use either the stick on lenses or the replacement lenses. The lenses you find on our Masks with Optical Lenses pages are using replacement lenses. Even with that, you will see a defined and distinct "line" where you transition from clear lenses on the top to optics on the bottom.
