i bought this for my little sister who was going on a cruise and had never snorkeled before. she had such a great time, the mask fit perfectly it didnt leak much and was easy to clear when it did leak. she was so happy with it she’s looking into getting her open water cert.

My son need a new dive mask for a boy scout high adventure camp to earn his SCUBA certification this summer. The mask I purchased mask a few months before at a local sporting goods store, it would not seal well and fogged often. The TUSA Liberator Plus was recommended. I was price shopping and found SCUBA.COM. I call the Scuba.com 800 number and spoke to a certified diver. He agreed that the mask was a great mask for my son and I ordered it because it was the best price. He also explained the features of the mask. We received the mask in a few days. My son tested it and felt it the mask gave him a great fit and seal. Yesterday, he called and had received his SCUBA certification and enjoyed wearing the TUSA Liberator Plus Mask.

I used this mask a few times so far. I dont know when the mask with a purge valve has a more leaking problem than no purge masks. I feel that some water always remain at my nose. For clearing, didnt need to tilt my head and just blew through my nose while pushing upper part of the mask. I dont know. I just decided to keep using it because I still can see well withough any fog with the defog on it.

This mask was for my wife, who has deeper than average eye sockets so most masks leaked on her near the sides of the mask where the headband attached, but this mask was perfect for her. So, If you have problems with leaking masks I would suggest this mask. My wife absolutely loves it, and it was much cheaper at Scuba.com than the local dive shop even after shipping and handling I think we saved $30!

Rating: Tusa Liberator Masks with purge

worked fine in cozumel. we especially liked the purge valve feature for a "no hands" purge. if you remove the little oval ring that retains the loose end of the mask strap, it is very easy to adjust the mask fit under water. we kept the masks in water in the mask bucket and used "sea s" prior to each dive. we never had any fogging.

Had my old Liberator Plus Mask for 20 years and it served my until I replaced with new one to get bi-focal lens installed.
