Rating:  Finally a mask that feels comfortable!!

It has always seemed that comfort, field of view, and no leaks were incompatible in a scuba mask. The first time I tried the X-vision I knew it was comfortable and it possessed a greater field of view than my old low profile mask, but would it leak? As a Scuba Instructor, I do not need to be fussing with my mask underwater when I’m diving with students. The moment I did my first descent at our favorite Catalina Island dive spot, I knew I had a winner! As soon as I reached home, I went out and bought a second X-vision as a backup (instructors always carry spare gear). That old low profile mask is now a donation to the local Boy’s Scout Troup.

Rating: Pretty good overall, but a little wet.

This mask is fantastic overall. The field of vision is impressive and the elongated shape easily facilitating checking your gauges without straining your neck. Fit is comfortable and the strap releases are very well designed.
The only downside to this mask was that there seemed to be a small amount of water constantly in the very bottom of it. The dive master where I used the mask warned me of this, but I didnt find it to be an inconvenience. It was only a small amount and never really grew into a larger problem.
The benefits of this mask far out-weight the negatives, all in all I am still happy with it and would totally buy it again.

I bought this mask recently as a spare mask. I am fairly impressed. Nice low profile and a super wide field of vision. I like the adjustable buckles. Very easy to adjust and loosen. However the buckles are too narow to accept a standard mask strap or neoprene strap. If the strap were to break you would need a Mares strap or you would be out of luck. The silicone is not as soft as my Akona mask and it does not conform as well to facial creases etc. Overall a quality product.

i ed this mask because it was rated high in scuba mags. i was able to try on first before purchase. i bought the clear skirt version. mask has good visibility overall and is easy to clear. does tend to leak allittle more then other masks i have used. not sure why. mask strap adjustment works well.

This mask is as comfortable, and offers as good of visability, as masks costing 2 to 3 times as much . It is extremely easy to adjust with just a quick tug on the strap. I have no troubles with leaks and have let two other divers try it and they both agree.

Great field of view on this mask with very low volume. The downside on a low volume mask is that if it leaks...it fills up very quickly. Had this problem initially and had to shave my mustache on a recent trip to Cozumel. The mask then sealed very well.

This mask is awesome. The seal it has if really good I never had a leak, even when I tried to flood my mask it took some effort to break the seal. The large tear shaped lens make for a very large viewing area. I would defiantly buy this mask again.

I am sure this is a great mask for some one that has a small nose. I was told it would fit but once I got it I had to return it. I can not say it is a bad mask, all I can say is if you have a larger nose, this is not the mask for you.

I have a wide face and it is often hard to find something that will both cover my face and not allow seepage around my moustache. This does this while having an excellent viewing window with a pretty wide view for a lower volume mask.

The Mares X-vision dive mask is very comfortable to use. Getting a mask with a bit of color helped to locate it as it slipped out of my hand while taking a photo on the surface. Its not always about stylish looks. A great item.

Ive put in about 250 dives over the last 2.5 years with my scuba-pro mask, but it will now become my backup. Im impressed with the view extent both verticaly and horizontaly. The mask is comfortable and seals very well
