This dive light is a great investment towards building my dive gear. It is bright, the adjustable beam lets you go from narrow intense beam to large diameter covering more area while not loosing light quality, its easy to manage and provides mobility especially while attached to its glove. Its rugged with good quality material and should last a long time. I have used it on two dives while in Belize, on a night reef dive and The Blue Hole, and couple of pool dives while. Those who I was diving were impressed with quality of light source and glove feature. A friend of mine borrowed one while on Maui dive trip and told me it work great. Im happy with my purchase and purchased two, great investments. I should get a lot of good use out it.

Rating: Good for day dives, back up only for night dives

Tight focused pattern, even at wide angle, makes this an excellent light for peering into crannies on day dives. That said, there is barely no halo and the beam diameter even at the wide setting is much too narrow for use as a primary light on night dives, although it can serve as a back up. I like to use a small light as my primary, especially on tropical dives but the area illuminated by this light, while bright, is not wide enough for this purpose.

This light is excellent for my backup and is much brighter than some divers primary light. However if you purchase the pouch with the retractor be aware that the attachment ring which is like a key ring is cheap and when you attach it to the light you have to strech it and it does not spring back to shape it stays bent and the little loop which holds the lanyard to the torch spins around until it unhooks itself and you may lose your light. Take the ring off and use a small zip tie and never worry about it.

Durable with great switch mechanism and good focus adjustment- no matter where you set it, the beam pattern is awesome and useful. Compact and lightweight yet is so bright will replace your primary night dive light, and also serve as your first choice for a day light for swim through and crevice exploration. Many of my dive buddies have also replaced their primaries with this bad boy!

Have not takenit under water yet .... will let you know how it survives, however very good first impressions. Solid construction, works on AAA batteries, superb bright light & adjustable beam .....

A lot of light output for a small light. Burn time is a little short. Construction looks to be high quality.
