Rating: LED light stick review

worked like a charm. It was easy to install batteries (although I wish it use less). The light is bright- I purchaset he white non-flashing version. I usually clip the sticks to the yoke on my reg. This verison does not have a leash but it was simple enough to clip it to a D-ring with the clip that came with it.
I would definitely recomend the product

Rating: Much better than a glow stick
Reviewer: Richard Giles, Monday, March 02, 2009 - View all my reviews
I bought two of these. Loaned the red one to a fellow diver and he was easy to spot. Much better than a one time use glow stick. The little plastic buckle seems a bit shakey BUT no problems with it.... These are also just the right size to store in the pen holder in your dive log.
Thanks - Good product

Rating: LED Light Stick

Love these things. They are bright and last forever. Easy to clip on your bc, tank or wherever. The only "tricky" part is getting the batteries in - they tend to pop out before you can get the bits screwed together.

Rating: No more throw away chemical sticks
Reviewer: Mike D., Saturday, November 01, 2008
In thinking about getting one of these LED light sticks, I couldnt help but remember all the times I opened a chemical stick package only top find a dud, and then hoping my buddy had a spare (I always carry more then one but opened three duds in a row one time). The news that dive operators in the Bahamas also do not allow the chemical sticks anymore and the great sale price here was all I needed to finally get one of these reusable LED lights. The only hard part was deciding what color to get. The only negative thing I can say is what others have noted, that they sink, making the placement on your BC/reg a tough decision since it could become obscured if they settle down in between things. At this (sale) price though, it makes sense to have at least two of these, one on the front of the BC and one on the tank valve area as usual so I will be buying several more.

Rating: Pretty good tank light.

This is a pretty good replacement for chemical glow sticks. I had bought the constant orange LED and it worked very well. I was told I stood out from the other divers. The only problem is that the clip is made out of plastic so I question its durability, also its kind of a pain in the butt to put in the small batteries.

Rating: Very bright
Reviewer: Christopher Hedger, Sunday, September 21, 2008 - View all my reviews
This little thing is so bright it causes me to cast a shadow at night onto the bottom. the batteries are easy to install and last a really long time, there is a beam of light that comes out the end of this as well that can be used to read gauges. my wife got upset because i kept swimming behind her to read my gauges. then I wore it and she understood. love this little light! Keep in mind i live in Hawaii and we have incredibly clear water.

Rating: GOOD PRODUCT OVERALL
Reviewer: JAMES SHERMAN, Friday, August 01, 2008
I purchased this dive marker in white, blue and orange. All are very visable, but white is the most visable followed by orange then blue...I didnt go with red figuring that red light is absorbed the fastest under water. To attach it to our regulators, I used zip ties with the little screw holes/eyelets. That way I can leave the zip tie on all the time and just clip the dive marker on when I need it. I have used it on 5 night dives so far and am pleased.

Rating: Promate L.E.D. Light Stick

Get one of these rather than use disposable glo sticks (which FYI have been BANNED in Bonaire - you are forced to use a usable light stick instead). Very easy to use and comes in different colors so you can stand out in a crowd. Inexpensive, so for even better visibility, use 2 or 3 sticks to really stand out.

Rating: Good Buddy Marker
Reviewer: Steven R., Friday, May 16, 2008 - View all my reviews
This light provides a nice balance between visibility and brightness. The light is bright enough to see, but not overpowering and obnoxious, which is good for a personal marker light (unless youre trying to keep track of a retard that doesnt understand the buddy concept). I use this light for night, wreck and cave/cavern dives. I would not use this light for high visibility requirements like a rescue light or marking entry points.

Rating: Night Dive Buddy Marker
Reviewer: James J., Wednesday, January 09, 2008
we use these light sticks mainly to identify each other. of the 6 - 8 products ive tried, this one is the hardiest. most break after a few dives. the non-blinking model lasts for 4 - 6 dives on one set of batteries (if you remember to turn it off right away) choose the blinking type it lasts several times longer, albeit the blinking can be a bit annoying.
