Rating: Whats a dive beacon and why do I need one????
Reviewer: Lee C., Sunday, June 24, 2007 - View all my reviews
We were going on our first liveaboard dive boat and from what we read we needed these beacons for the night dives. While we had been on a couple of night dives we thought we had all the lights we needed, so I was skeptical about why we needed them. As it turns out they were very inexpensive, took up very little room, and were very, very helpful. In the ocean, viz was good sometimes and at others, not so good. These little lights would last forever on two triple A batteries and they helped us so much to keep up with all the other divers and know where they were at all times. The dive Master told us if anything happend and we surface, they could see our light for a long distance so they could come ane get us. I would recomend having one of these.

Rating: Night Dive Marker
Reviewer: LARRY H., Monday, June 04, 2007 - View all my reviews
This marker worked great keeping me visible for the divers in my group on my last night dive. It is easier to see than the chemical markers. The of my dive companions commented on how much they appreciated being able to find me to during the dive. Each of them wanted to know where I got it. When I got home I ordered two more to have in my gear back to provide to my dive buddies on future night dives. I highly recommend this item to others.

I oredered two of these for my wife and I. One leaked and shorted out after the dive. I cleaned it after the dive but it got rusted very qucikly with just the one immersion in salt water. That said it was very visible and it was easy to pick us out in the crowd. If I ordered again, I would buy one the blinks to make sure I can tell us apart from the dive master

Bright light. Very easily seen from even a long distance. This marker stood out from the others in our dive party as much brighter and identifiable.

light weight, easy to see underwater, saves carrying chem sticks. I also like that the light is constant instead of flashing and being a distraction.

Simple and easy to use. Lanyard makes it easy to attach to a line, tank valve, or whatever you want to mark.
