Great looking knife. Easy take down for cleaning. Did first dive with off of South Carolina. No issues..straps stayed snug.
Recommend immediate wash down with fresh water..had spots of surface staining within 1 hour of dive. Cleaned up easily and removed using a scrub sponge.
Once fully cleaned, and dried completely, apply small small small amount of a light oil .for storage. I used RemOil.
So far great knife. Great first knife.

Rating: Great knife for the low price.
Reviewer: Christopher Noe,
My thirteen year old son and I both dive with this knife. The knife is easy to pull out and you can feel it lock when putting it away . I dive nearly every weekend and I havent lost or damaged it yet. I give this knife 5 stars .

So far, this knife is awesome the locking sheath allows for any rigorous movement in & out of the water. The straight blade of the knife was not as Sharp as I would of like to see, but its not a big deal to bring it to a knife sharpener.

I bought this knive about two months ago it is a great knive for its money and its built very well, you can take it apart to wash it.some people say that it rusted after they used it one time, ive used it ten times so far no rust yet if you wash the knive every time( duh )when you get out of the water instead of throwing in your dive bag this wont happen.Scuba Pro stands behind there products so dont go there about the rust. This seems to be a solid purchase. Very sharp blade and the scabbard seems as if it will last. Because of the fact it is stainless and prone to rust I have covered it in Vaseline and will probably not use it on all dives, but it appears as if it will last a long time if you dont mind the cosmetic discoloring from salt water.

Great knife. Blade might form small rust or discoloration on blade but oil after every use. Quality item and would suggest as primary large knife.

Well made good looking knife for the price. If you need it once and it works then its paid for. Many others post about the rust pitting. Heres a tip. Of course rinse and dry it well, then apply auto paste wax to it and dont wipe it off. This even works well on the cheap (lower quality) Chinese knives.

I paid more than double for the exact same knife with a different name on it, I even too it apart and all parts are interchangeable with the other knife I had bought, works great.
Questions and Answers for Scuba Stainless Steel Knife:
bill:
Will the 420 stainless steel knife rust, or is it necessary to buy titanium?
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Any stainless steel knife will rust if not maintained or rinsed with fresh water and then dried. Titanium will not rust.
Jim:
I bought this knife and am happy with it, however the but cap fell off last weekend on a dive. Can I order a replacement or do I need to junk the knife?
Thanks,
Jim
