Rating: Not a good experience for first time...
Reviewer: Mark W., Thursday, April 10, 2008
I did buy a dive knife, and within the first few hours of use in the water at St. Thomas it was rusting...and was used on 6 dives and snorkeling all week, and by the end of the week it was completely rusted out...the knife looked like an artifact from a shiprweck !! I dont know what happened, but it was not Stainless Steel alloy that didnt rust. I returned it for a trade-in/exchange and thankfully had no problems. Hopefully the replacement will not be the same issue.

Rating: Not Bad for the Money

I paid 30 dollars for this and that is about what it is worth. You must rinse this off quickly when used in Salt Water. I did not and paid the price. Lots of corrosion and it seemed to nick away at my sharp edge of the knife. I have cleaned it up but the corrosion did affect the edge. I snorkel and found it useful to have this with me. Make sure to clean the knife everytime you use it.

Scuba Stainless Steel Dive Knife are sharp and practical with the locking sheath which are safe with there locking system. I have three types for different purposes and all three types serve my various needs depending on the type of dive. Your grandchildren will inherit them in great shape and theyll last several generations.

Rating: Tactical Tanto is great knife for the money
Reviewer: Matthew B., Monday, June 30, 2008
(SCUBA.com brand knife)Great Knife, The grip feels good and fits my large hands well. Completely comes apart for maintenance. Maintenance is definitely necessary especially when used in salt water (just needs to stay well oiled). It keeps a good blade as well.

Rating: Good knife for the price.

The knife and sheath are great for the price. However, the straps would not stay tight. Perhaps the tightening mechanism will grab better once the straps have roughed up a bit from use.

Thsi is great dive knife, it has good handle and works well under water. Just make sure that you clean it of and keep oiled after use. Other than that no complaints here!!

Rating: BUY THIS KNIFE!
Reviewer: Joseph Mitchell, Tuesday, July 24, 2007
This is a great value in a good dive knife. A little on the large side for attaching to a bc, but wear it on your forearm, leg or weight belt and it will suit you nicely.

The knife is very comfortable and has all the features of a more expensive knife. I definitely recommend it to recreational divers.
