Everyone comments on this knife! Very handy, well-constructed, and functional. If you dont think you need a big knife, try owning this one. Its big, but it packs a punch and its worth it. Great for digging around on the lake bottom.

I have the smaller Fogcutter X and I love it, the problem was that the smaller knife doesnt fit into the XS Scuba neoprene knove wrap really well as its sheath is a bit too short. I bought the larger version for myself and gave the original Fogcutter to my daughter who uses the original straps. I do wish the Recon Fogcutter can in a blunt tip version. Great knife nonetheless.

i like this knife/shear. the handle feels great in my hand. its easy to open the shears with a flip of my pinky, and it does stay locked closed. it fits well on my calf. the sheath is a little thick nevertheless, its sturdy. the sheath holds the knife well in place, but its easy to release. i dont have to worry about accidentally losing it. if you are a smaller person, you may want to go with the smaller non-recon version that has the 4 3/8 blade. overall, i’m glad i purchased this knife.

i bought a fogcutter for my wife and the recon for myself. we couldnt be happier with the purchase. the shears are spring loaded and very sharp, easily cut through wire. only drawback would beb the handle clasp that keeps the handle as one. you mest be carefull not to bump it open when pulling the knife, or it will pop into shears instead. you should definately buy this if you are considering shears and a knife.

Comes from the factory fairly dull...but you can put a razor sharp edge on it in no time :)

I recently purchased the Recon Fogcutter divers tool. I have been diving since 1978 and this little gadget is absolutely the greatest multi-purpose tool i have run across. Its comfortable and easy to use and it replaces both my dive knife and my shears. Its just the greatest.
