I absolutely adore these!
Im actually using them for hand paddling whitewater, but swimming as well.
Per the advice, I got a size smaller than what i had guesstimated (I have man hands for my size and still ended up getting the extra small-they fit perfectly and dont get too big in the water).
Theyre a little weird to get used (just resistance wise, and re-teachinng yourself to swim with an open hand) to but definitely fun.

I was having trouble keeping up with the local surfers in virginia, just quit smoking and needed to get back into shape. theses gloves not only give you an edge on the rest of the people out there but work out your arms and shoulders more than going to the gym, i hurt at the end of a day of surfing. the gloves themsleves create so much resistance that it is very easy to get right up on a wave, you are able to paddle less but go farther. these gloves really helped me out, the onlyt draw back is that they get bigger in the water so i would buy a size smaller than you would normally get, but besdies that they are great and would highly reccommend them to anyone looking for a great workout and trying to get a competitive edge on the rest of the group

ive had a total of 8 ankle fusions and other operations as a result of degenerative arthritis. of course, everyone suggested swimming as "the way" to get myself back in shape. the problem comes about when i kick my legs during swimming. my ankles dont bend, but they sure do hurt a lot when i try kicking..
i was about to give it up, when my son suggested i get a pair of webbed gloves from scuba.com. sceptical at first, i was amazed the first time out with these. i can now swim very productively with almost no strain on my ankles. whoever designed these gave a lot of thought to the human anatomy and particularly how the anatomy of the hands and arms interface with water while swimming. without these gloves, i was becoming more and more frustrated with swimming and very discouraged about ever getting back in shape. it took all of 15 minutes to get used to the gloves and realize the benefits they provided, i.e. productive exercise while swimming and without any pain.
the gloves are well made and should last a long time, and ill be ordering another pair when these need replacement.
i would recommend these to anyone who wants to swim and needs to take it easy on the kicking. in fact id recommend these to anyone who swims, kicking or not, because you can greaty increase the productivity (speed and muscle-building)of your swimming. this in turn increases your confidence and the overall enjoyment of the exercise.

Rating: Webbed Gloves Increases Paddle Speed

I am catching many more waves with the increase in paddle speed and have not noticed any problems with shoulders. I long board, do alot of knee paddling and the webbed gloves definately increases speed to where knee takeoffs have improved significantly. Would recommend anyone wanting to catch more waves to give them a try.

I love these gloves! I use from for strength training while swimming. The only draw back is they slide off a little while I swim. You might want to get a smaller size.

This product is designed very well. It is extremely comfortible and add the extra propolsion needed while swimming. I love these gloves and I wont go swimming with out them
