Pros: 1. fits well under 5mm wet suit. 2. Hood fix is solid underwater. 3. Very well general feeling, during dive. Cons: 1. Main body material takes a while to dry 2. Hood is missing ear holes Bottom line - never bothered me underwater+does the job well !!

Purchased for upcoming Feb diving in Grand Cayman. Ocean temp in Feb usually 82-83 degrees and I tend to get chilled about 1/2 way through the hour dive. Fits well for large bust but not constricting and does not feel that it will add buoyancy.

How well does the hood work on the xcel 2mm hooded dive vest? I need something that will absolutely keep water out of my ears. do you think the seal on this hood would suffice for that purpose? Tks.

Unfortunately, any wetsuit hood is designed to allow water in and will not keep your ears dry.
