Henderson Lycra Hood is an must have item if you want to stay away from dangerous rays. You can keep your head and face covered during snorkling and you can prevent jellyfish from stinging you. Great stuff!

I bought this Lycra to protect my bald head from harmful UV rays... It works perfectly. Here are my cons and pros:
Pros:
- UV protection
- Comfortable
- Professional looking
Cons:
- It is so soft that bubbles can go in I cannot go out.

serve the purpose., especially when i snorkel, the sun wont burn my head (i am bald.) or the night dive., safe to know that I wont run into any jelly fish....weight next to nothing, i am going to use it on my mountain trip in the rockies this july., will see if that works too..

This hood works well. It does not interfere with the mask, keeps hair well under control, fits well into a skin for continuous coverage of the neck and does not bind. Do poke a hole in the top to release any trapped air and avoid looking like a conehead in your buddys photos.

My wife uses the hood to keep from pulling hair out when removing her mask. I use it to cover my bald-spot from sun burn. The hoods are excellent for those who spend hours on end snorkelling. Note- if you plan to dive with it punch a few holes as your reg exhaust will fill up the top of the hood with air and youll be wondering why you cant control your bouyancy.

I do aquarium cleaning, the water temerature is approximately 21-23 clecius. I found the hood easy to use and extremely comfortable, like a second skin.
I highly reccomend it for tropical to cooler water divers.

I purchased 2 of these hoods and my wife and I used them all week while diving in Maui. The hood fits quite nicely and doesnt give you that choking feeling found with thicker hoods. The extra warmth is nice and as an added bonus it kept a small pod of jellyfish off of us...
