Ordered this lycra hood to protect my hair and keep things from getting in my ears! Lots of bugs (for lack of better words) were attracted to our lights during our night dive safety stop and this hood would have been very helpful for keeping those bugs out of my ears! Light weight, and practical for my tropical water diving needs!

Rating: Great for snorkeling or to and from the dive site

I have a condition shared by millions of American men... I am bald! I love to snorkel and making shore dives. This hood keeps the sun off my head, and protects me from hydroids in my dive skin. My wife recently asked for one too, and they will be invaluable in Bonaire.

This is a great product for snorkelers. Im very fair skinned and wear a skin or wetsuit for primary coverage. This was my missing link, as regardless of how often the sunscreen was reapplied, my ears and neck would get blistered on occasion. Im happy to report that this lycra hood works great! Very lightweight material that isnt about thermal protection but all about keeping the sun at bay.

Henderson Lycra Hood is an must have item if you want to stay away from dangerous rays. You can keep your head and face covered during snorkling and you can prevent jellyfish from stinging you. Great stuff!

I will spend 2 to 4 hours in the water, this is the only way to keep fom burning. The hood also prevents wave slap to the ear drums.

serve the purpose., especially when i snorkel, the sun wont burn my head (i am bald.) or the night dive., safe to know that I wont run into any jelly fish....weight next to nothing, i am going to use it on my mountain trip in the rockies this july., will see if that works too..
