Rating: Great Hood
Reviewer: donna Gant, Friday, May 29, 2009
very happy with this hood, i recently used it at Gilboa quarry in Ohio in 41F water @ 70ft... really pushing a wet suit but never the less no brain freeze and surprisingly warm. vent does an ok job at keeping the cone head down as well.

Rating: Great 3/5 hood
Reviewer: Mark F., Monday, December 29, 2008 - View all my reviews
I bought the 3/5mm hood and it fit great. The face opening is a little narrow and I have to adjust my mask and hood a little to make sure it is over the mask instead of under but it only takes a second. It is warm and the vent works well. I dove down to 100 feet and didnt have any cone head problems like other hoods. It kept me warm in 60 degree water. I would highly recommend this hood.

Rating: Henderson Hyperstretch Titanium Hood

I bought this hood to dive in Trashfest, which is the annual clean up of the Comal River in New Braunfels, Texas. The water is about 73°F year round, which is cold to me. The hood kept me head warm and my dive group won the most cans and bottles category.
My only complaint with this hood is that despite the vent in the top air accumulated in the top after awhile and gave me a cone head. I just used my hand to squeeze it out every once and a while. This might not happen on deeper dive. The deepest I got during the one time that I’ve use it was 17 feet.

Rating: Hyperstretch 7mm hood, super comfortable.
Reviewer: Glen Bennett-Ferland, Saturday, July 05, 2008
First I got the Insta dry in XL to do a dive in the north Pacific (Victoria BC). On a test dive in May with the new gear, I found the Insta dry very constricting and kept pushing mask down, making it hard to equallize. I ordered the Hyperstretch the next day. In BC, I used both in 48degree water. Found the heat loss difference minimal to none, but the comfort difference extreme. Bye bye insta dry. The hyperstretch feels almost as if nothing at all, but kept my huge melon warm, thats all I ask for!

Rating: Henderson Hyperstretch Hood
Reviewer: Tom B., Tuesday, June 10, 2008
If you are looking for a very comfortable and easy hood to put on, this is it. The vent for air release on the top works very well, you wont feel like your head is in a vise, and it will keep your noggin warm! Buy one!

Rating: I did not love the face stitching on the 7/5mm
Reviewer: Angela B., Thursday, September 06, 2007 - View all my reviews
It seems everyone who has these loves them, but I will be returning mine tres vite! The stitching around the face is annoying to say the least, it is itchy. I need smooth neoprene at this edge. I am still looking for a good hood, I will probably try the XS next. I bought a small given the sizing chart. It seemed a little tight at the jaw, but if it were a size larger I could see it being too big. It was already not tight fitting at all at the neck. It does seem well made, and the bib lies flat (thats why ive given it two stars.)

Rating: Outstanding product
Reviewer: Michael Wild, Saturday, September 08, 2007
This item performs as advertised. The 5/3 hood was perfect for the 50 degree waters of Monterey. It is like I wasnt wearing a constricting hood at all. I will be purchasing a Henderson hyperstretch wetsuit as soon as I am able.

Rating: A perfect fit, with perfect thermal protection!
Reviewer: Philip Aggio, Tuesday, August 14, 2007 - View all my reviews
This hood is great if you want a little extra protection for your head. A great fit and the flow vent keeps air from building up inside it and the hood snug against your head. The best 7mm hood you can get.

Rating: Toasty Warm
Reviewer: James Harrower, Sunday, June 10, 2007 - View all my reviews
I ordered the suit on-line & found the sizing to be right on. The suit is comfortable & warm with almost no hollow spots for cold water to enter onthat first dip. I live in Central Manitoba Canada & have been in the water in early June in this suit & found it toasty warm. The water was cold enough I had to snorkel with my uncovered hands out of the water on my back & the rest of me was great for 1:30 in the water

Rating: Good hood
Reviewer: Julia G., Thursday, May 24, 2007 - View all my reviews
I like the hyperstretch material. The hood is perfect for the tropics in that it protects against the jellyfish which were all too present in the Keys a couple of weekends ago and yet it is not too cumbersome.
