Im not a diver but I do a lot of cold weather fishing. If theres a decent fishing glove out there, I have yet to find it. Then I had the thought that cold water divers wear gloves! Duh. So here I am. I need a glove that keep my hands warms and dry, but thats thin enough to allow me to use my fingers to crank the reel, etc. Your thoughts would be most appreciated. Many thanks for your attention. Hello David, all the gloves we carry (except dry suit gloves that attach directly to the drysuit) will let some water in. They are designed to trap a thin layer of water between the glove and your hand. Then over time your hand will warm the water up then the glove will reflect the heat back to your hand. But the glove I would suggest to you that would work the best for you is the XS Scuba 5mm Dry Five Pyrostretch Dry Diving Gloves web link: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-27/021493/XS-Scuba-5mm-Dry-Five-Pyrostretch-Dry-Gloves.html. I want to get my brother a pair of diving gloves for Christmas. He dives and feeds the fish and sharks @ our Aquarium. The problem is... I dont know anything about the gloves...what mm size I need for him. He dives in the fresh water tank, cold water tank and the Gulf tank. Can you suggest anything?
I really want to buy these neosport gloves for myself and my husband but am unsure about sizing. My hand is just under 7" from the base of my palm to the top of my middle finger and my husband would be the next size up. I want these to fit well as we are in Australia and I dont want to have to send them back. I hope you can help.
my brother cleans pools year rounds in vegas and in the winter time the water gets cold is the cold water diving gloves going to work to help keep his hand warm and dry
Hello Glenda, the gloves will keep his hands warmer the ticker you go. All of the diving gloves that the manufacture make are designed to trap a thin layer of water netween your hand and the glove. Then over time your hand will heat the water up in the glove and the inside of the glove will reflect the heat back to your hands.
