I have used these gloves for 10-12 years. The first pair I bought lasted me 10 years and they were still in good condition when I lost them. Ive misplaced a few of these gloves and continue to buy the same ones every time. They are very comfortable and extremely durable. The Kevlar-like palm and fingertip material is very durable and perfect for protection from rocks and sharp objects. Despite being only 3.5mm, I wear them in cold water in the upper 40s (F) and lower 50s (F) without getting cold hands.

Akona 3.5mm ArmorTex Diving Gloves for 2015:
Will these hold up well for lobster hunting in the Florida and Caribbean areas?
Aaron(Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):
Hi Cam, The Akona Armor Tex will work great for that.
I need to know if these are the gloves I need. I am a clam farmer and deal with clams and clam bags which are very abrasive. We get gloves from the local hardware store that might last a week. My concern is the finger tips, will they hold up?
Bob(Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):
They won't even come close to holding up in those conditions. Neoprene is foam rubber and will get chewed up in a hurry.
