Rating: Thats how I roll.....

I really like the mesh for drip/air dry of the gear. Of course I rinse with fresh water when I get the gear home but in the meantime, plenty of ventilation. The best part is the roller feature. The first time I used it and was comfortably rolling all my gear (minus tanks and drysuit)down the dock to the boat, I was giddy. Anybody who has had to carry a heavy bag of dive gear will appreciate this bag. Best and be safe... DW

Rating: Solid mesh bag

The bag is a solid mesh, rolls well, not sure the optional strap is worth it.

Questions and Answers for TUSA Roller Mesh Bag:

  • Brenda:

What is the weight of this item empty? Is there a seperate compartment for wet/damp items?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Brenda, the weight is 5.7lbs and yes it has a dry compartment on one of the sides of the bag. If you have any other questions or would like to place an order please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.

  • jan:

If you cannot check the bag because of the mesh and it is too big for carry on how do you get the bag to your island destination???

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Jan, if you don''t stuff the bag full you could use this as a carry-on. Or you can pack the bag (empty) in your checked bag then when you get to where you are going unpack it then fill it with your dive equipment to use while at your location.

  • David:

I am looking for a mesh bag with four robust wheels. My purpose is to place a dog carrier without wheels inside. I often take my two tiny dogs around with me, and I am not finding a suitable carrier with wheels for them. Placing them in a rolling mesh duffle would be great and no one would be the wiser that I had barkers with me. 1) Are the wheels robust? 2) Will an large sized carrier fit inside (i.e. I dont know if the "dry compartment" will get in the way)?

Aaron  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hi David None of our roller bags have 4 wheels on them. They do have robust wheels on them and they can hold a lot of volume, but I don't see them as a dog carrier.

  • Jerry:

Is this bag meant for airline travle or just on and off the boat?

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Mesh bags are generally not a good choice for checked luggage as 1)they can be seen through and 2)the mesh material snags easily when handled by airline baggage handlers and their conveyor belts.

  • Evy:

Would this bag qualify as a carry on? Im thinking of puting my bc, regulator, and computer and not checking the bag. Is this bag better than the Xscuba? The Tusa has a compartment while the Xscuba does not but its bigger and it has a bag label, is that the only difference? Thank you for your time, Evy

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

This bag is typically considered too large for most airline carry-on restrictions. All bag manufacturers make a very good quality bag.

  • Renee:

Does the bag have a hard back and an extension handle for rolling? I ask b/c I have a mesh roller gear bag but it is all mess except for a small portion at the bottom. This makes the bag front heavy and very hard to roll w/o having to lay it down and bend over to pull it along.

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Renee, no this does not have a hard back. The handle is an adjustable it is not a telescoping handle. This bag is going to be the same style as the mesh bag you currently have.
