This bag worked great.
Meets airline standards for size.
Saves weight for more gear.
Beware however - if you have over-sized fins they will not fit in fin pockets -instead lay them on the bottom of the bag and fill fin pockets with other gear (ie boots, gloves, hoods etc).
This bag is compact and easy to pack and will stand upright which allows you to carry a duffel on top of it without them tipping over.
Seems a little expensive - but Oversize Fee is upwards of $125 per bag- so will pay for itself after one trip.

Rating: Great Bag

We just returned from a trip to Utila and managed to get all our dive gear (except reg and computer) into this bag plus clothes and were still under 50 lbs. It handled easily and was of sturdy construction. Only complaint was the interior straps arent very functional. As soon as you try to pack they slip down inside and then you have to try to fish them out when you are done packing.

Rating: good bag

Excellent bag. rollers held up great on a recent dive trip. Fairly light which was nice as we took it on and off of our cruise ship each day. The fin pockets are a little bit of a challenge to get both fins in. It would be helpful if the manufacturer could give suggestions on the best way to pack the bag.

Rating: This bag is Great!
Reviewer: Janet B., Friday, January 02, 2009
Just finished a 14-day cruise with 9 dives that I had to lug my gear on and off the cruise ship. This bag is great. Everything fits in nicely. It dries quickly when wet and the side zipper pockets held all my extras easily and organized. With this bag my dive gear was 15 lbs. lighter! Everyone on the dive boats I was on wanted one.

We ordered 2 of these bags and took them with us on a recent trip on a live aboard ship in the Galapagos Islands. They were absolutely terrific! So light - and we never had to pay extra for overweight bags.

I recently purchased the Akona 10 lb. bag by Sherwood and I am very pleased with it. I took it on a trip to Cozumel. All my equipment fit with room for a few clothes. I didnt have to worry about my bags weight.

This bag will do the trick. Handles all of my tropic dive gear with room too spare. I still have room for my camera watertight case and some t-shirts. I hate paying the money for the over weight bag and this bag ends this problem...period. I just may get another to hold my travel stuff in general....Great bag Akona.
