Rating: Henderson front zip
Reviewer: Scarlett C.,
I used this suit on a recent trip to Barbados and the front zip was excellent. I watched everyone else struggle with their rear zip wet suits and surely think this is a much better way. Nicely made and kept me warm.

Rating: thermoprene shorty step in
Reviewer: Alex K., - View all my reviews
Having had earlier Henderson step-in shorties, I like the added stretch/flex of this product for swimming and snorkeling. It is also fine for some scuba activites as well.
However, the zipper tailoring leaves something to be desired. A bit too much bunching in the front. There is no need for this and their earlier models did not have this problem. Also the matchup of the bottom edge on the zippered leg side is a bit too sloppy.

I bought this wet suit just before I left for Cozumel and it worked out great. I had put on a little extra weight and my old suit just wasnt gettin it anymore. The weight of the suit was perfect for the water temperature and it was very comfortable.

Rating: Easy access and comfortable

i found the front entry zip access convenient. the thermoprene is a good combination of flexibility and warmth. i own the henderson 5mm hyperstretch too and the comfort between the 3mm thermoprene and the 5mm hyperstretch are on par. i bought the shorty for snorkeling and swimming in hawaii. i typically go to the windward side like kailua beach and usually during the winter months, so a shorty with some thermal protection will be great. in the past i used rash guards only, but with the wind, a wet rash guard gets very cold.
overall henderson is a great brand for wetsuits. you cant go wrong with them. they are also one of the few brands with a good line of kids wetsuits too.
my only negative comment regarding the wetsuit is that the front access zipper isnt too flattering however, im ok with it since i enjoy the easy access.

Rating: Perfect for flatwater kayakers!
Reviewer: Eileen B.,
finally, i found the perfect wetsuit for flatwater kayakers. the shorty comfortably covers your entire "core" and the full front zipper is a dream to get in and out of. havent had a chance yet to do an intentional water test thatll have to wait until early march. bought the suit for warmth and safety in the event of an accidental roll-over. love the feel and color!

this suit can be use for swim in cold water

:
Yes, the Thermoprene material is very flexible. Keep in mind chest and waist are the most important measurements when picking a size.
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Shorties and any suit of a 3mm thickness are generally considered warm water suits. Swimmers create a great deal more heat inside thier suit than a diver does as they are moving more while they swim, but 3mm of neoprene can still offer only so much thermal value. For a swimmer this suit would still be functional in the 60-75 degree range.

I found two different size charts for thermoprene. I am size 10. The weight is 120-130 lbs or up to 130 lbs.?

Hello Blanca, not sure where you are seeing two different sizing charts. The sizing chart that you see on our site is the same sizing chart we get directly from the manufacture.
