Last year on opening day, I used my friends LIght mounted lobster gauge. I would not use in in the day, because i carry a small light. At night it was the sest measuing devise going. Catch the lobster, and measure with the light. It makes it much easier. If you diving at night for lobsters, this is a must have piece of equipment.

The side arms should be made of plastic, because the metal ones bend. Other than that, do go in the water without one.
