The slate board does everything I needed to do underwater at an affordable price. The slate was invaluable during our navigation/compass specialty course as well as for communicating things that you just cant convey to your dive partner.

Overall this is a good slate. It is a good size, not too big and awkward, but big enough write several messages or your dive plan. The pencil disintegrated on the first dive, and there is no leash for the pencil. The pencil holder does, however, keep it in place while you are diving. Overall, a good product and a good price.

As you know a slate is very important. The size and shape of a slate and the ease of carrying a writing tool is also important. This particular one is just the right size and shape to carry so it is not cumbersome. It also has a handy pencil that you can easily use.

This is a good basic slate as one would expect. Fairly similar size to standard PADI slates, although not exactly the same.
