Great for traveling with as they are not heavy to carry. I wear size 7.5 shoes and got the 38/39 womens fins and they fit me just fine, could be just a tad tighter but overall great for diving with. Also Im cramp-prone and no cramps so far!

Great fin, just got back from Turks and fins performed well on several boat dives. Very comfortable and fit true to size.I will be using these on warm water dives verses strap split fins with booties. Lightweight for travel.

I have used the Mares open heel fin for cold water diving - same pair for 15 years, they have been great, and are still in great useable condition. I wanted a pair of warm water fins so I bought these Mares Avanti Superchannel fins. They fit great, and are sized right for a scuba fin, i.e.: width and length. I highly recommend them as a great warm water fin, and a great price.

GREAT FINS FOR THE PRICE. USED ON LAST CAYMAN TRIP FOR BOAT
DIVES. THESE FINS PROVIDE GREAT PUSH FOR A LOW COST. POCKETS VERY COMFORTABLE NO NEED FOR BOOTIES. ALSO ARE VERY
LIGHT WEIGHT FOR TRAVELING. USUALLY DIVE HOLLIS F1 FINS BUT
THEY ARE VERY HEAVY FOR TRAVELING WITH. THE MARES PROVED
TO BE KEEPERS IN MY TRAVEL KIT.

This is a powerful fin. They may be a little stiff for some, but they deliver great performance. I ordered the fins in my size 8 shoe size. But, the foot pockets were too large. I returned them for a size 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 size and they fit fine. The foot pocket is comfortable and the firm soles of the fin efficiently transmit power from the legs to the fins.

A very nice light weight pair of fins. They are perfect for traveling and boat diving. Just did a dozen dives with them and have no blisters or sore feet.

The Mares Avanti Tre Superchannel fins were excellent! Comfortable and efficient at all kick styles. Only negative was that they were slightly large for my narrow heels. Have to wear 2mm wet socks on my 10.5 feet. Ordered the large and maybe a size smaller would be better. Should not be a problem for normal heels.

Hello Ernie, I do not find that is the case. The size 12 is from 11-12 so no I do not think this will fit you they way they should.
