Rating: GREAT FINS, I LOVE THEM
Reviewer: Kim Thomas, Thursday, November 12, 2009
I purchased these fins for my recent trip to Hawaii and am so happy with them. My old fins are not the split design and although I love them, had heard great things about a split fin. These did not disappoint at all. I am very happy with them. I had been told they run large so purchased a size small (I wear a size 9 ladies shoe) and was glad I ordered that size. So women, keep that in mind when you order. They are easy to get on and off and I wore them with both a cold water bootie and a warm water bootie and both fit fine. I would highly recommend them, as well as ordering them from Scuba.com. They had the best price on them and I did a lot of looking around. When I need something additional in the way of gear, this is the first place I will look. Thanks!!

I really like these fins. My only issue is TUSA sizing. All of my shoes are size 12 so I bought size large fins which have a size range of 11-13. I should have gone down a size. My feet are long and skinny so maybe thats where the problem is!!

Rating: Love my fins
Reviewer: Susan B., Sunday, November 30, 2008
being a somewhat petite (5 4") female diver, i read through all of the reviews for fins, and decided on the tusa x-perts and i was not disappointed. my husband and i just returned from a 2 week trip in belize, and i was so pleased. the fins fit well (i took the advice and got the spring straps) and are extremely comfortable. i used them mainly for diving, but we did some snorkeling, too, in quite choppy water. i was far less fatigued then others on the trip. diving was a breeze again in a few days of choppy conditions. i had problems with my old fins falling off - even on the tightest setting. the tusas were great. you get what you pay for, and these are worth the price ladies (and gentlemen)! happy diving!

Rating: leg pain disappears
Reviewer: JON HALL, Thursday, August 07, 2008
In my diving career, kicking has always been a chore for me. Snorkeling and diving, these fins were more than I hoped for. The first time I entered the water with them (snorkeling), I immediately felt the difference...I didnt feel any stress on my legs. Completing 7 dives and snorkeling everyday over a 9 day period in St. Croix, I never had any pain in my knees or calves, which always was the case with my long blade fins. I found these fins easy to kick, easy to propel with, and easy to manuever with, both on the surface and underwater. I cant say if all split fins are the same, but TUSAs are fantastic. Of course, you cant beat the price at scuba.com either, at least in Indianapolis!

Rating: Love them
Reviewer: john s., Tuesday, July 01, 2008
I am a newly-certified diver who is middle aged (54) and have a bad knee that has seen surgery twice. Swimming and diving are two of the few sports I can actually do without putting great strain on my knee. During my certification dives I was using rental equipment that included traditional non-split fins, and I must say, I had second thoughts about the ability of my knee to sustain the strain I felt. On my last open-water dive, my instructors wife let me try her pair of Tusa X-Pert Zooms, and the difference in ease and lack of strain on my knee was instantly apparent. I went out and bought a pair and have now used them on my last four dives. I can say without hesitation, I will never give them up...I Love Them.

Rating: Awesome Fins,
Reviewer: Amber S., Monday, July 07, 2008 - View all my reviews
i am petit around 5 feet and have had issues with fins. i have had problems with them in the past being too bulky to big and often difficult and frustrating to maneuver. these fins are really the answer i was looking for. i just returned from a week of scuba and snorkeling and they worked great for both. i love the speed for once my husband was behind me trying to keep up. i must also mention the strap release is great as well, quick and easy without tearing off your fingernails. and you cant beat scuba.com price i looked in the scuba shop locally and they wanted $189 for the same fins. i rarely give any product a 5 but this one is well worth it.

Rating: Best fins Ive used
Reviewer: David Gilbert, Friday, April 18, 2008 - View all my reviews
Very easy to travel in water with these more flexible fins. Best Ive ever used. I just got back from Barbados and these were excellent. It was a little tough going against a strong current, but Im not in the best of shape at 52.

Rating: Excellent Split Fins
Reviewer: Robert Greene, Wednesday, September 26, 2007 - View all my reviews
These fins have exceeded my expectations, even in a mild current. They seem to consistently out perform those other split fins that my dive buddies use. They have excellent control characteristics, and produce excellent thrust with just a simple flutter kick. My air consumption has gone down which results in more bottom time. Good sold construction and they are just barely buoyant in the salt water out here in the central pacific.

Rating: cool fins
Reviewer: Herbert C., Thursday, September 20, 2007 - View all my reviews
These fins arent that great at the surface, but work well at depth. I got them with the spring straps and they are so much easier to put on....though you may need to get springs one size larger than recommended.

Rating: TUSA X-Pert Zoom Adjustable Strap Fins
Reviewer: Nicholas M., Monday, September 24, 2007
I just got back from Hawaii and I used these fins almost every day for the 10 days I was there. They worked great! Very comfortable, and the split fin design allowed me to glide through the water effortlessly. I highly recommend these fins to experts and newcomers.
