I feel the fins very well design. When I kick I feel very in control and they give a good speed if I want to.
They have an adjustable strap that it is very easy to use and if you want to tie it them is very easy too.
I am very satisfy with these fins.

these are an upgrade from the ones i purchased 15 years ago! especially liked that i could wear booties with them protecting my feet from the shore to snorkeling spot. sturdy, comfortable, and gave great propulsion. the straps well-made and easy to put on and take off. im totally satisfied.

I just took these fins on 11 dives in Bonaire and they performed wonderfully! I am a fan of the frog kick and these worked great. I also am an underwater photographer so these fins were perfect for tight maneuvers around the reef, hovering, turning and even backing up some. If you want to go fast, you get a lot of power for not a ton of effort with the straight kick. I snorkeled a couple of times and these fins did well on the surface too.

when I am in cold water and need to wear fins other than my oceanic full foot fins I find these easy to adjust and get on and off. theywork very well when I have to wear a wet suit and shoes. I highly recomend them.

I really like these fins. The open heel style with a quick release strap makes it easy to get the fins on and off of my feet when climbing on and off of the rocks where I do my snorkeling. The combination of the fins and boot seems to add an awkward bouyancy to my feet while snorkeling, but it doesnt present much of a problem. Very powerful fin and an excellent buy.

Im a size 10.5 in a shoe size so I figured that the REG size fins would work perfectly. I think my foot is a little wider than the average persons foot. My foot fits pretty tightly in the fin and sometimes is uncomfortable but if I get it adjusted just right then it really isnt that big of a problem. I tried on other fins that gave me more room with their regular sizes and they felt a lot better. The fins work pretty good in the water. I never got any leg fatigue. I just got my open water cert so I think these are good beginner fins. I plan to upgrade to better fins in the future.

Good Looking fins that do the work for you. Id would have given them 5 stars except I broke the straps on the 1st open water with them. I did manhandle them, but my expectation was that they could have taken the abuse...they didnt. The replacement strap I received didnt match, so it looks kind stupid.

In the process of moving from NC to UT, I met some friends in the Bahams for a 7 day liveaboard. While packing, I realized my fins were in NC. I ordered these fins as replacements and much to my surprise (considering I live in the middle of the desert) they arrived in the necessary 2 days. The fins themselves are "adequate". There is nothing special about them. They performed well and nothing broke. As adjustable strap fins, they are fairly easy to get on and off, a desirable feature on a dive boat in rough water. I will continue to keep them as backups.

i am ordering some oceanic vypers for me and my wife from scuba.com
going to roatan for two weeks.
i live in canada, so getting the correct sizing the first time will be very important.
two questions first, i wear a 9.5 shoe and i plan to wear a 3mm bootie. what size should i get and if i upgrade to the ocean quest ez springs, are they already sized to the fins. apparently, the springs come in s,m,l, xl
same question for my wife. she wears a womans size 8 and will wear a 3mm bootie.

The manufacturers take into account that open heel fins are designed for use with a boot. Use your normal sneaker style shoe sizing to select your fins. No adjustment is needed. The manufacturers recommend you purchase your fin straps based on the fin size selected. Small or XS with a Small. Med/Large or Regular with the Medium size and so forth.
