these run a bit big where you your foot. the thick soled boots should fit in nicely. you might consider buying the next size down with thinner soled boots, especially if you are at the low end of the size. for example, i wear a size 12 shoe and the 11-13 xl is a little big for my medium soled boots.

Rating: fins and springs for 10.5 feet
Reviewer: Mike Weaver, Sunday, March 07, 2010 - View all my reviews
After reading the reviews and seeing that these ran a little large I called scuba.com for advice on sizing with springs. I ended up getting size 9-11 fins and medium springs. These were too large for my 10.5 feet with booties. It ended up costing me about $18.00 more in return shipping for that mistake. If you get the wrong size springs just keep them because shipping them back will be as expensive if not more. Fins fit fine with small springs.

Rating: Big fins

I agree that these fins run large so you will need boots. I used a 2mm boots and the fit was good. The heel straps are easy to adjust and offer a quick release too. The blades are long but are a very good value for the money - especially if you only dive or snorkel a few times a year.

Rating: Pretty gooood

I bought these fins, they feel awesome. They are a bit big though. I am a size 10 in Nikes, I wear size 9 5mm dive booties, and I ordered the Med/Large size of these, and they are BIG. Seriously, order down. You wont regret it!
Good fin.

Rating: Excellent price value

I bought a pair of these for myself and liked them... so I bought this pair for my son. They do what fins are supposed to do at a good price. What more can you ask for

Rating: Excelent when used as intended

These are excellent fins. Adjustment is very easy in both directions... by that I mean it is easy to make the straps longer so you can get your foot in, and then shorter to tighten them up.
These are intended to be used with boots or at least some kind of "socks". The first time I used them, I went with "bare feet". That rubbed the skin raw in a couple of contact points. I have since worn them with neopreme socks and with boots and they worked perfectly
Shipping and customer service from Scuba.com was exceptionally good... as usual

Rating: Good set of Fins

I was able to try a variety of fins when I was doing my open water check outs including a pair similar to theese. I found that they were a good fin because they gave me good control with plenty of power. Great fin for starting out.

Rating: Good fin for the money

We purchased these fins as a beginner set for our 14 year old son who just completed his Open Water certification. After borrowing an old pair of dads full-foot split fins, he commented on how much of a difference there was with his manuverability, propulsion, and ease of use. He has only used them on his four check-out dives but seems to like them a lot. They are a good starter set for a first time diver.
