I bought this suit in a medium but the hood is to big. Do you have a small hood and how much?
The Scuba Pro hood is prepackaged from the manufacturer and at this time we aren't carrying them separately. We do have a large variety of drysuit hoods available starting at around $39.95 and going from there. You can see them in our Hoods category. http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-28/Hood-Dive-Hood.html
Im looking at this suit for a public safty team. How well can this be deconned.
Typically a neoprene drysuit is not the best for contaminate waters. Dry suits like the Viking Pro 1000 are the best for that kind of diving. http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-19/066136/Viking-Pro-1000-Surveyor-Scuba-Drysuit.html
What is the temperature range that this dry suit will keep you warm? I know different suits can keep you warmer than others in colder water.
Hello Alex, Thank you for your inquiry! The ScubaPro Everdry 4 Scuba Drysuit is good to about 45 degrees F. http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-19/166380/ScubaPro-Everdry-4-Scuba-Drysuit.html If you would like to place an order or have questions about our products, please contact one of our certified Dive Instructors at SCUBA.com by calling 800-247-2822 <> 949-221-9300or e-mail us at: email@example.com
The everdry scubapro dry suit is it serviceable and reparable in case of wear or damage?
Hello Andres, if you ever need to get anything repaired or replaced on this drysuit you would need to send it directly back to the manufacture and they will be able to do the work for you. If you have any other questions or would like to place an order please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.
The water temps on my dives can go down to 40 F. Can I wear insulating layers with this suit?if so , do I need to go a size larger? Thanks, Linda
You would need the Polar Shell undergarment for that temperature: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-159/166406/ScubaPro-Polar-Shell-Scuba-Drysuit-Undergarment.html You might need one size larger for that undergarment with the Everflex. As long as the item is not used in the water you have up to 60 days to refund or exchange it.
at what maximum water temperature this drysuit can be worn comfortably without an undergarment
That is impossible to say as everybody has different tolerances. It isn't designed to be worn without underwear of some sort, but we have instructors who use their neoprene suits here in Ca. in the summer with light weight sweat pants and in the winter garments similar to snow skiing polypro suits. We have others who use normal temperate water dry suit undergarments.
I want to purchase a dry suit for canyoneering. You repel into slot canyons many times into large pools of water that you must swim through - you wade/swim intermittently so you are constantly in and out of freezing water (do not know temp). Will the dry suit under suit work just as well as a dry suit? Thanks!
This is more of a statement than a question, as it seems as though cold water is unfamiliar to most divers. I dove with this suit last winter after we used chainsaws to cut a triangle in the ice, and pull the 20+ inches of ice out of the hole with pickups. I was perfectly comfy swimming around under the ice with the addition of ScubaPros climasphere undergarment. It doesnt pinch like bag style suits. I do agree that the sizing runs a bit small compared to regular wetsuits. Im 61" and 210#. I wear a 2XL in everything else, but a 3XL in this dry suit. Also, I have a big head and I did purchase a different hood than the one that came prepackaged that was larger. Great suit. Youll like it.
