Rating: good thing to have...............

Marking pen - - good thing to have to keep your gear getting mixed up with EVERYONE elses stuff. The only improvement Id make is that they should offer a markng pen that is similiar to a t-shirt decorating paint - something where the fluid is a bit THICKER....when marking FABRIC items the more liquid paint has a tendency to just soak right into the fabric and be very hard to see, or requiring SEVERAL applications.

This pen is perfect for anybody who dives.
How many times have you noticed somebody else with a piece of equipment that looks just like yours?
Use this pen to mark all of your gear. Its a great thing for dive lights and mask - usually get tossed in one big rinse tank on the boat. Dries quickly and comes in a variety of colors.

Rating: TRIDENT MARKING PEN Silver
Reviewer: Geoffrey Rand, Sunday, March 11, 2007 - View all my reviews
I purchased the silver colored pen. It works well on neoprene and nylon, however the markings I put on my fins rubbed off after 3 pool sessions. I have heard keeping plastic items marked requires periodic reapplication, so I am unsure if it is the fault of this product or just a fact that plastic is difficult to keep labeled.

Rating: Great pen!
Reviewer: Taylor B., Saturday, June 21, 2008
Even though it smells quite horrible, the yellow pen leaves a very bright mark on the blackest of flippers. However if you make a mistake, there is no easy way to remove the paint, but I guess that is good in the long run.

Every piece of Scuba Gear that I own now brightly has my initials on it. A great asset when the dive boat that your on for a week just throws all booties and other equipment in one pile.

Rating: good but...
Reviewer: Reiko A., Saturday, December 27, 2008 - View all my reviews
it is a little too "diluted" color... I shook this before I used though... But, it stayed especially on my black fin, so I think it did what it supposed to do. I will use this again.

Rating: Permanent Marking Pen works nicely.
Reviewer: Leo ONeill, Friday, October 27, 2006 - View all my reviews
This is a good idea. It flows like a pen and after it dries, its permanent. We use it on fins, BC and other items that could easily be confused with other peoples equipment.

Rating: Blue Pen

This pen works as advertized, Be aware that its a dark blue color. Thus it doesnt work on black or dark colored items. Works best on clear/yellow/orange things.

This pen is a great way to mark my gear. I have used it on my Fins, BC, and Boots and after many dives it has stayed on without rubbing off.

Rating: They work

It is hard to review a marking pen. I guess they work as advertise and do an excellent job. This is what you expect from scuba.com.

Great for you to put a mark on your dive items. As you know, its easy for you to loose a gear within a boat.
