Like most drysuit divers, I want to keep air from getting trapped in my legs. Ankle weights can drag your feet down and set your body at a plane in the water though you are more efficient and trim in a horizontal position. Thats where gaiters come in. They dont drag your feet down, but they should be snug enough to keep air from getting trapped in your legs and possibly causing a feet-up floatiness. These DiveRite gaiters have three clip attachments. Youll have to adjust each one and cut-and-burn the excess off, or stuff it back underneath once you are done. Ive seen the Halcyon gaiters, which wrap the entire leg. In retrospect Id rather use the Halcyon ones because they dont require adjustments and are flat against the whole calf, instead of securing it at three distinct spots.

This is the first batch of product I bought after i got my dry since i have dragging with my legs sometimes and this helps to keep less air in that area.

These dont go all the way around the leg but seem to work with the built-in gaiters on my Bare.
